Winter Car Boot Picnic

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
It was a lovely one here with fresh
snow and some sunshine.

I wanted to do a winter picnic photo shoot
for you so I gathered up my favorite
winter plaid picnic stuff and off we
went.

We found a beautiful scenic road.

Now, we don't have a pretty truck or even
a pretty car but I did my best to
capture some winter beauty.

Some gingerbread cakes and hot tea
were just the thing for a winter picnic.

Well, that was fun and I have a few other
photos hoots I would like to do soon so
I will be back and I hope you will be too!

Take care,

Carolyn

All Around the Town

Hello everyone,

I mentioned that we had a snow day this
week and we went to town (Charlottetown)
for a walk around the town.

I love how pretty everything looks with some
fluffy white snow.
Great George St. is always a favorite to
take photos of winter or summer.

I love the frost on the tree in front of the Inn

Colorful homes always catch my eye but
especially in winter .

I love the heritage homes in this area

So pretty!

Well, these were just some of my favorites of the day.

Yesterday, was a beautiful mainly sunny day here
so we took a country drive this time so I will
share those photos with you later.

Thank you for coming along with me.

Take care,

Carolyn

The Beauty of Winter

Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going well.
Here,on P.E.I we are having a
milder winter with very little
snow but that can change very
quickly. Since we don't have
snow right now I am looking
back at previous winters.

An outdoor winter picnic with
a collection of plaids/tartans.

Our veranda one snowy winter day

A cozy winter tea

Lots of clean white snow

Our house on a snowy winter day

I always enjoy looking out the
window and seeing our
Boathouse with snow
all around.

Another outdoor winter tea.

More cozy winter shots

Although we lost a lot of trees here
during Fiona thankfully many
such as these are still standing.

I enjoy skating on our pond
in winter when we have ice
but not too much snow.
Oddly enough, yesterday our
pond had thawed again but
froze lightly overnight. It has
never been open water in January
before.

Much as I enjoy a walk in winter,
I love to come back in and
enjoy my tea by the fire.

How is your winter going so far?

Thank you for the visit,

Carolyn

A White Tea

Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going well.

Although it is raining here today
we did have some snow last week
for a day or two.
Now let's unwind with a hot cup of
tea. Can you see the snow out the
window?

I enjoyed having my tea by the
bay window so I could enjoy
the snowy scene out the
window.

I added some greenery from
the garden here and there
throughout our home for
that cozy wintry look.
I love this teapot that I
bought at Winner's several
years ago so I am using
it today.
The teacup is Eternity by
Skye McGhie.

I changed out the curtains for
the winter season to ones that
I had made several years ago.

I added some flowers to brighten
the day.

My tea tray is ready for another
day.
I am having friends for tea this
afternoon so I am looking
forward to a fireside tea
and a chat....so nice to
catch up with them again.

Red Plaid Winter Hammock

Sunday Blessings,

It is a snowy wintry day here as another
winter system passes over the Island.

It was still nice out for a walk earlier
in the day and when I came back
I thought it was another pretty day
for another hammock photo shoot~
this time using a red plaid theme.

I think when the snow stops later today
those old snowshoes might be fun to use.

A plaid thermos and an enamelware mug
with hand knit mitts should warm things up.

This old hammock has been here for years
and the hooks have actually grown into the
tree, so it is now permanent!

Well, it is time for me to warm up
by the fire with my hot cup of tea.

Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday!

The Magic of Winter

            Hello everyone,

We have been enjoying pretty winter
days here so I snapped a few photos
to enjoy in summer when I am longing
for snow ha!ha!
I am a summer person but I do enjoy
the beauty of winter too.

first I took a few shots around
our home and garden.

Gently falling snowflakes

We enjoyed a  winter drive in the country .

A winter walk at Greenwich National Park is
a lovely way to spend a morning.

Hope you are enjoying your week!
