Picnic by the Sea

Hello everyone,

We have been enjoying beautiful sunny days

here so it is perfect picnic weather and there

are so many beautiful places to go on the Island

with a picnic basket.

I used my enamelware for my picnic.

This is the Blockhouse lighthouse that you

can see in the background of my

summer picnic at Fort Amhearst.

It is strawberry season here so I am

enjoying strawberry shortcake.

I love watching the sailboats going by from the Charlottetown harbor

as we enjoy our picnic.

                                                            I hope you have time to enjoy a lovely summer picnic
                                                            soon. It hard to believe that July is almost over.

Soft Aqua and Pink

Hello everyone,

It is another beautiful sunny summer day here on the Island  and I am looking

forward to relaxing  by the sea with my sister this morning.

So, just a few soft and pretty photos this morning from

Eventide Cottage. 

Peony season is just past here now  but the hydrangeas are just

starting to bloom which is a t least a week later than usual.

I hope you are enjoying some beautiful

Summer Tea on the Porch

Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

It has been lovely here and so it is nice 

 to have tea on the porch where I have my

summer wicker and vintage linens.

Vintage china and pretty bouquets of peonies.

I used a mix of pink and green for my summer tea today.

My peonies are past now so these are the last of my bouquets.

                                          I have been enjoying taking lots of summer photos so all I need is                                                    more time to share them. Summer is going by so quickly don't you think
                                                        We had a good turnout for our garden tour and it was a beautiful
                                                   day for it. Thank you to all who came and for all your kind words.

Seaside Hammock Days

Happy Friday!

We had some lovely summer days here at Ocean Song Cottage

this week and so it was a good time to relax with a good book

and enjoy some hammock time while listening to the waves lap

on the beach.

                                                                    A pretty bouquet of peonies , a glass of lemonade
                                                                     and my book and I am set for a relaxing afternoon
                                                                     at the cottage.

Pretty pillows and a blue throw make the hammock

comfy and cosy.

On another note  this beautiful bouquet is just a reminder of

our 'Open Garden' this Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m

The peonies are still blooming and I am hoping they can

hold out until at least Sunday!

I did get out of the hammock and do some weeding

in the garden for you!

Open Garden Tour Day

     Hello everyone,

With the sunny warm weather we have been having

the garden has been going by leaps and bounds.

I took these photos in the garden almost a week

ago now and already there are lots of

changes.

There are lots of peony blossoms as we have over 50 peonies in

the garden many of them are very mature and some are new varieties...

hard to resist new peonies.

The Preston lilacs are blooming in the background.

The lilacs are so beautiful this year.

                                                                   Roses, peonies and hardy geraniums are so pretty together.

The iris also bloomed well this year......the garden enjoyed the

wet spring we had and now all the sunshine.

Lilacs and roses......two of my favorite plants.

  Garden Tour Day

So this is another reminder that our garden is open to all who would like to

come for a tour this Sunday afternoon July 14  between 2 and 4.

Our address is 67 Mill Rd. Warren Grove and please park on the side

of the  road.

EvenTide Cottage by the Sea

                                                                             Hello everyone,

                                                     We are finally getting some sunny summer days
                                                     here so it is lovely cottage and beach weather.

                                                        I have shared some photos of my daughter's
                                                       cute little summer cottage named EvenTide
                                                       but I am back with a few more.

Before they bought the cottage it was all brown and very dark inside.

It only had one big window and a few very small ones that were too

high to see out .   It made such a difference to put in several

new bigger windows and paint everything white.

The cottage has an amazing view and is right by the beach.

I love the aqua and white color scheme that

my daughter choose.

A  beach bag that matches the woven rug 

some pretty pillows and a soft throw make a pretty combo.

        It is definitely a coastal/beach theme.

                                                           I hope you are enjoying your weekend..

Beauty by the Pond

             Happy Canada Day!

I am just popping in to wish my fellow Canadians a Happy Canada Day

and share a little pondside beauty.

The irises are in full bloom around the pond now and I am enjoying there bright splash of

color

                                          I took a few shots of the garden as I walked around it but will share                             more shortly as there is lots of  more to see.  All the peonies are starting to pop now!
