Shades of Aqua

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend.

We have been working on getting
some early spring chores done and
it is great to get a few things off
our list.

Today, I am sharing some of my
photos from previous years.

I always seem to be drawn to
aqua so that is my theme
fro today.

Aqua china is one of my
weaknesses.

This is a tablescape I did several
years ago in the garden.

Beachy aqua

I love books!

A corner in our bedroom gets
a touch of aqua

Aqua at Eventide Cottage

Our peonies are starting to poke up
out of the garden so I am looking
forward to the first blooms around
mid June here in our zone 5b garden.

Eventide Cottage

Ah! lilacs another one of
my favorites.

This was taken in the nook
of our little Boathouse.

                                                        Time for tea?

Peonies in an old wooden
bucket that I painted aqua.

Our Boathouse.....a little
summer retreat by the pond.

It is nice to end with tea
time treats!

When we went for our morning
walk there were lots of birds
singing.....lovely sounds of
spring are in the air.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Take care,

EvenTide Cottage by the Sea

                                                                             Hello everyone,

We are finally getting some sunny summer days
here so it is lovely cottage and beach weather.

I have shared some photos of my daughter's
cute little summer cottage named EvenTide
but I am back with a few more.

Before they bought the cottage it was all brown and very dark inside.
It only had one big window and a few very small ones that were too
high to see out .   It made such a difference to put in several
new bigger windows and paint everything white.
The cottage has an amazing view and is right by the beach.

I love the aqua and white color scheme that
my daughter choose.

A  beach bag that matches the woven rug
some pretty pillows and a soft throw make a pretty combo.

It is definitely a coastal/beach theme.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend..

For any Island gardeners  or tourists interested in touring our garden we plane to have our annual "Open Garden" on Sunday afternoon July 13th between 2 and 4 p.m.
Hope to see you there!

Cottage by the Sea

     Welcome to my daughter's little
cottage by the sea.
I think I mentioned before that
my daughter and her family
bought the cottage next to
ours and fixed it up into
the little charmer it is
today.

So, I thought you might enjoy
         a little peek inside.

I love the soft aqua blue and
                                                           white colors they went with......
much better then the dark colors
it was when they bought it!

I made the pillows from fabric
                                                         from Fabricville in Halifax as
we no longer have one here.

        The loveseat ,coffeetable and throw
all came from Ikea in Halifax.
The aqua striped rug is from
Wayfair.

Just a little peek today but I will
do another tour of it soon.

                                                                    Thank you for all your
                                                                    visits and nice comments
                                                                    on my previous post on
                                                                    my Victoria Cottage Style
                                                                    feature.

                                                                                 Take care,
                                                                                       Carolyn

A Touch of Aqua

It feels a little like spring here
today and we escaped the snow
   storm that was predicted.
Today for our afternoon tea time
it is a touch of aqua.
      The china came from Winners
a few years ago.

It has a pretty spring time look.

Tea with lemon

Maybe you would rather a mug
for your tea?

I have been adding touches of aqua to
our home and spent some time making
some new aqua pillows for our home so
I am getting ready for spring.....what about
                                                       you?

Thank you for joining me for
                                                                       tea today!

Aqua Days

                        Hello everyone,

While spring is probably a ways off yet,
it is very spring like outdoors today so I
thought I would use one of my favorite
      spring colors indoors today....aqua.

I used my lacy chargers again
              with soft aqua plated from
                    Homesense with pretty vintage
         plates from a yard sale.

A table for two.

The aqua teapot is also from
Homesense and holds lots of
tea.

A beautiful bouquet of tulips
adds to the spring feel.

    A small corner cupboard holds
some of my aqua collection.

A vintage tin makes a good
         container for the bouquet of
       tulips. A large glass inside
keeps it from leaking and also
gives it more weight.

    Pretty aqua teacups.

A pretty stack of aqua plates
and teacups.

I love this vintage crochet heart,
a lovely gift from a friend who
            knows I love aqua.....thanks Arlene!

Vintage teapots

   Do you love aqua too?

                    A small vintage teapot
for one.

While yesterday was a good skating
day on the pond with my neighbor, with
all the melting going on now my husband
told me I better wear a bathing suit
if I was planning on skating on it
today.......   I think I will pass!!!!

I am joining BNOTP today for
                                                           Tablescape Thursday.

Hope you have a lovely day!
