Sunshine Yellow

Hello everyone,

I was happy to be able to pick

my first bouquet from our

spring garden yesterday.

                                                                  

They make me smile!

I love the cherry yellow of our

early daffodils.

The teapot was a gift from my

husband several years ago.

 it is a Royal Elfreda

Blushing Beauty.

Every day now the garden moves

forward bit by bit.

This Aynsley teacup was one

of my Mom's collection.

My Red & White Transferware Teapot Collection

           Hello everyone,

                I hope you had a great weekend.

              This morning I took some time to

            take some photos of my red and

      white transferware teapots.

            The teapot above is an antique

teapot from Japan.

I found this one in an antique

shop in Maine.

This English ironstone teapot is

one I often use.

Nancy B this is for you

as you asked about the plate pattern.

I have several pieces of this set

called Florence by Skye McGhie.

                                                       It is time for tea with
                                                       my Venetian teapot.I
                                                       am enjoying my white tulips.

                                            Well, now you have seen my red
                                                      and white transferware teapot
                                                      collection that I have picked up
                                                      here and there over the past
                                                      number of years. I have them
                                                      on display in my glass fronted
                                                      cupboards in our kitchen so I
                                                      can enjoy them even when not
                                                      in use.

A Pink Hydrangea Tea

                                                               Hello everyone,

                                                  I hope your week is going well.
                                                  It is damp windy and chilly here so
                                                  I am indoors today enjoying a cup
                                                  of tea by the fire. Thankfully, the
                                                  weather is looking much better
                                                  for the rest of the week.

             A pretty bouquet always

makes me happy.

    As does pretty china.

                                                        I found this chintz English
                                                        teapot recently and had to
                                                       add it to my collection of
                                                       teapots. It is pretty don't
                                                       you think? It is called Royal
                                                       Cotswolds in the English Tradition
                                                        by J Godinger.

     I am looking forward to getting

back into the garden with some

      sunshine and warmer temperatures

     though. Hopefully, I can have my

tea in the garden soon.

Romantic Pink Tea

                                                           Hello everyone,

                                                I hope your week is going well.
                                                We have lost a lot of our snow here
                                                and although our temperatures still
                                                fluctuate between melting and freezing
                                                we know good things are starting to happen
                                                out in the garden.
                                                    Here in the sun room spring has definitely
                                                arrived as the warm sunshine makes it a cheery
                                                place for our romantic pink tea so pour yourself
                                                a cup of tea and join me.

                                     

                      I have an assortment of pretty pink linens

                       to go with our delicate pink vintage china.

                                                         I love this dainty pink and white
                                                         small teapot.It holds enough for two
                                                         cups of tea.
                       

Pick your favorite tea cup and

relax in the warm sunshine in

the sun room.

A Little Romance

            Hello everyone,

With Valentine's Day coming up soon,

I thought it would be a good time to

share a few soft and romantic

vignettes from the past.

As you probably know I love

all things tea.

Love this really old teapot

and the matching plate.

I seem to have a passion

for pink as well.

           Another beautiful bouquet of

                beautiful peonies with a favorite

       teapot and tea cup.

       A pretty stack of vintage china.

              Biscuits and tea are always

a favorite.

                      Lace and linens make a romantic

setting for lunch.

                  Aqua is another favorite of mine.

You might notice that this

teapot makes a lot

of appearances in February.

It was a Valentine's Day gift

from my husband.

                  Roses always add a romantic touch.
