Romantic Pink Tea Time

             Hello everyone,
I hope you had a romantic
                                                                  Valentine's Day!

I had hoped to post this yesterday
but the day went by too quickly.

I gathered up some of my favorites
                                                         from previous years.
I had planned a Valentine's Day tea
here with friends but the weather
was calling for a stormy day
so I postponed for a week.

Some of you might remember this
pretty teapot that my husband
surprised me with on Valentine's
Day several years ago.

A Shelley teacup from my Aunt.

I do love my pink vintage
                                                  china.

Thank you for joining me for
                                                  my romantic pink tea today!
                                                             Take care,
                                                                  Carolyn

A Romantic Afternoon Tea

    Welcome Tea Friends

It is nice to welcome in February,
   a month with romance.

This is one of my favorite
teapots.....perfect for
a Valentine's Day Tea.

Some pretty vintage teacups

A few pearls and a pretty faux
bouquet adds to the romantic charm..

Valentine's Day is getting close ...
do you have any plans to celebrate
                                                              the day?

I am off to do some decidedly
                                                                  unromantic work in my daughter's
basement as we are helping her with
                                                                  a reno project.....looking forward to
                                                                  seeing the improvements though.

                                                                     Thanks for the lovely comments
on my last post.....Lila and I enjoyed
                                                                     them.
                                                                                 Thanks for visiting,
                                                                                              Carolyn

Random Bits

Hello again,

It is another beautiful sunny warm day
here and I am happy to say that my husband
and I have finished our garden cleanup.
It is always a good feeling to get it done
before the cold weather sets in.
Anyway, I was looking through some
of my photos and saw these shots of our
kitchen at Ocean Song Cottage that we
did a bit of a makeover on in the last year
or so.....anew window,countertop,sink,and
some new to us cupboards

We are still doing little projects here at a more leisurely pace
while we enjoy our time here.

Yesterday, I found these pretty vintage dishes
at the thrift store

I love this pretty gift bag that came with some
lovely tea treats......thanks Barbara!

I cut a small bouquet of hydrangeas from
one of my shrubs yesterday .They have
taken on their fall colors

I couldn't resist playing with my
pretty new china for awhile

I am not sure yet if I will use them
or display them on a wall

Well, it is so lovely out here I think I
will so for a sea glass hunt before the
season for my walks on the beach
comes to a close for another year

Thanks for your visit today .

Take care,
Carolyn

Sunday Afternoon Tea

Hello everyone,

We have been enjoying beautiful summer weather here
and so I am enjoying spending my days out doors as
much as possible.
So that means enjoying my afternoon tea out in the garden.

Here, we are having our  iced tea on the porch of our little
Boathouse by the pond.

Another lovely spot for tea in our August garden.
There is always so much color in the garden in late
summer.

Tea among the peonies is always a pleasure.

A most romantic little hideaway surrounded by roses.

The allee garden is always lovely so you
can enjoy your tea time among the lilacs,
roses,nepeta and hydrangeas.

Early in the season is appleblossom time for our tea time.

Grab a pretty vintage teacup and join me.

Some tea time treats.

A shady nook in our garden to enjoy
breakfast and linger with a cup of tea.

                                                                     Tea and scones with roses.

An all white Sunday afternoon tea in
                                                                      the garden is so elegant.
So go ahead and pick your favorite spot
for a relaxing Sunday afternoon tea!

Hope you enjoy a relaxing day surrounded
                                                                       by the beauty of nature!

                                                                                  Thank you for visiting,

                                                                                           Carolyn

Summer Tea on the Porch

Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
It has been lovely here and so it is nice
to have tea on the porch where I have my
summer wicker and vintage linens.

Vintage china and pretty bouquets of peonies.

I used a mix of pink and green for my summer tea today.

My peonies are past now so these are the last of my bouquets.

I have been enjoying taking lots of summer photos so all I need is                                                    more time to share them. Summer is going by so quickly don't you think
We had a good turnout for our garden tour and it was a beautiful
day for it. Thank you to all who came and for all your kind words.

Thank you for popping in today.

                                                                                                     Carolyn
