Sunday Afternoon Tea

Hello everyone,

We have been enjoying beautiful summer weather here
and so I am enjoying spending my days out doors as
much as possible.
So that means enjoying my afternoon tea out in the garden.

Here, we are having our  iced tea on the porch of our little
Boathouse by the pond.

Another lovely spot for tea in our August garden.
There is always so much color in the garden in late
summer.

Tea among the peonies is always a pleasure.

A most romantic little hideaway surrounded by roses.

The allee garden is always lovely so you
can enjoy your tea time among the lilacs,
roses,nepeta and hydrangeas.

Early in the season is appleblossom time for our tea time.

Grab a pretty vintage teacup and join me.

Some tea time treats.

A shady nook in our garden to enjoy
breakfast and linger with a cup of tea.

                                                                     Tea and scones with roses.

An all white Sunday afternoon tea in
                                                                      the garden is so elegant.
So go ahead and pick your favorite spot
for a relaxing Sunday afternoon tea!

Hope you enjoy a relaxing day surrounded
                                                                       by the beauty of nature!

                                                                                  Thank you for visiting,

                                                                                           Carolyn

Beautiful, dreamy setting. Can you tell me where you got the lovely thermos with a tea cup on top? (Picture #9 in Sunday Afternoon Tea posting). Thank you.

So many beautiful spots for tea! It's 102 degrees here in East Texas, so not conducive to teatime outdoors!

Oh Carolyn I would LOVE to be there too! I'll have to grab one of my vintage teacups, and set up my outdoor patio area for some teatime. This entire summer we've spent working outside in that area and it has been a mess of dirt, dust and gravel and weeds. It looks pretty nice now so it's time to enjoy it some! I love every one of your seating areas in your wonderful gardens and love the photo of all the treats and the little jars of pink lemonade. Sigh.... and those cupcakes look lovely......I'm glad you're having such nice weather. We've been pretty hot here still, so have to either be out in the early mornings or later evenings. One of these days, maybe I'll post what my patio area "can" look like when it's all dressed up for tea! Hugs.. Marilyn

Hi Trudy,
Thank you! The thermos I picked up at a local thrift store and it didn`t have a cover so I just use a pretty teacup to cover it.
Thanks everyone for your kind words.

As I read your letter and admired your photographs I received a peaceful presence within my thoughts today. I find so many cheerful little surprises in your photographs. I believe every lady should give herself permission to drink a cup of tea in her flower garden. My flower gardens are very small but I enjoy sitting on my covered front porch just to relax for a few moments. Here in Tennessee our sweltering August summer is uncomfortable but I always find myself rejoicing when I notice my colorful zinnia garden in my backyard.
God Bless, Dolores

Back home in Idaho now after my daughter's and my trip to PEI but loving the Garden of Eden portrayed in your blog. PEI is truly a one of a kind. So full of beauty at every turn. And your spot there is exquisite!
