The Evening Sail

Hello everyone,

 We are still enjoying beautiful summer weather

here on the Island  so we are  relaxing

by the seaside as much as possible.

I especially love watching the sailboats

going by our little Ocean Song Cottage.

We don't have a sailboat but I really enjoy

watching them on the water.

Such a peaceful place to enjoy to

enjoy my book and a cup of tea.

And now evening is coming to a close as we watch a

beautiful sunset  at the West River.

Loving these summer days and wanting to enjoy

all the joys of summer for as long as I can.

Seaside Hammock Days

Happy Friday!

We had some lovely summer days here at Ocean Song Cottage

this week and so it was a good time to relax with a good book

and enjoy some hammock time while listening to the waves lap

on the beach.

                                                                    A pretty bouquet of peonies , a glass of lemonade
                                                                     and my book and I am set for a relaxing afternoon
                                                                     at the cottage.

Pretty pillows and a blue throw make the hammock

comfy and cosy.

On another note  this beautiful bouquet is just a reminder of

our 'Open Garden' this Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m

The peonies are still blooming and I am hoping they can

hold out until at least Sunday!

I did get out of the hammock and do some weeding

in the garden for you!

Summer Blues

Hello everyone!

I hope you are enjoying lovely summer

days.

With the arrival of summer beach days

are a favorite for many of us Islanders.

This blue arbor stands out in the garden.

My husband built this arbor and gate a 

few years ago.

                                               Well, time to relax now with a
                                                           good book as the waves lap
                                                           gently on the shore and listen
                                                           to the occasional cry of the seagulls.....
                                                           ah! perfection!!!

Tea by the Sea

 Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your

weekend. It is a sunny one here

and the snow we got earlier this

week is starting to melt.

We decided to take a break today

and went to our favorite spot

to enjoy some peace and beauty

by the sea. Definitely too cold

for swimming but just warm

enough to enjoy a cup of tea

in the sunshine.

                                                                 today. I have a cozy corner all ready
                                                                 for you.

   Or maybe you would like to

relax on the bed enjoying the

view from there with a cup of

tea.

     I am sure I will never tire of looking at this

view.

                                                            Have you already guessed my little
                                                                       secret?  Yes, you are right......we
                                                                       bought a little beach cottage early
                                                                       last fall and have been busy making
                                                                       it our own special little hideaway!

                                                                       I feel so blessed that we were able
                                                                       to buy this little gem and hope that our
                                                                       family will enjoy many happy, relaxing
                                                                       times there in seasons to come.  

                                                                          If any of you follow me on pinterest
                                                                       you may have noticed that I have been
                                                                       pinning a lot to my beach cottage board
                                                                       enjoying all the inspiration out there.

                                                                       I will share some before and after photos
                                                                       as time goes by of our little Ocean Song
