English Fireside Tea

Hello everyone,

This afternoon I am enjoying an
English afternoon tea in the
library by the firesde.

Last year we gave our library a makeover
to make it more cozy.

Tea by the fire while enjoying
a book is my idea of a
relaxing winter day.

I love my English style teapot with
a pretty English cottage on it.

I have a small collection of dogs in
the library. The Irish setter featured
here was one I bought in an
antique shop in Great Village
Nova Scotia.

Last night we had a beautiful
snowfall , so I was out early
with my camera enjoying the
beauty. I will post some of
those pics soon.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

The fireside tea looks very cozy, Carolyn. What a lovely way to spend part of an afternoon. The cup is the Christmas winterberry pattern, I think. I passed on a set between two sisters, so neither set is now complete. They are so pretty though. Hope your new year will be wonderful.

Hello Carolyn!

I don't recall where or how I discovered your blog (and your home and gardens), but it delights me to see and read (and enjoy) your posts.

(I *may* have discovered it when I was doing internet searches for my g-g-g-grandmother, Elizabeth Aiken (from Ireland originally, though she and her husband and family emigrated to Canada in the mid-1800's; we still have many more Aikens family connected to our Henrys).)

I just love your home and gardens, and the wonderful things you do with it all. Thank you so much for keeping up your beautiful blog...
