Hello everyone,
I hope you are not tired of our trip photos because
I wanted to share a few shots of beautiful Charleston.
We have been to Charleston a few times before so
this time we just took a day trip up from Beaufort S.C.
We took a horse and carriage ride here again as well.
This is called Rainbow Row and you can see
the houses are colorful.
One of the things I love about Charleston
is all the beautiful gardens and fences.
We took a walk by here as it is where
we spent an enjoyable week last time.
It is called the Aiken Mansion~perfect
for us!
Beautiful flowers in all colors.
I didn't have time to take as many shots
as I would have liked so I am sharing a
few I took before.
Magnolia Plantation is beautiful~
just outside Charleston.
Some of the beautiful fences of Charleston.
Beautiful statues as well.
If you ever get the chance to go to Charleston, take it as I
am sure you will love it!
On a different note for any interested Islanders
my Afternoon Tea book is now available at the
following shops:
Emmett & Ellie's on University Ave.
Time Worn Treasures and Antiques St. Peter's Rd.
The Showcase Gift Shop in the Confederation Center.
It might be an idea for Mother's Day!!!
Also available through Magcloud for
anyone else.
Linda at Beautiful Ideas is hosting an online tea
party fundraiser for breast cancer .....check
out all the details on her blog if you would
like to participate!
Thank you for visiting,

Your pictures make me want to get and my van and head down there. So beautiful! Magnolia Plantation looks like a gorgeous place. Maybe someday... Thanks for sharing with us.
I only know Charleston through the eyes of Theodosia Browning - that is through Laura Child's Tea Murder Mystery books and her fictitious Indigo Tea Room. Your photos are lovely of the "real" place!
Charleston is my favorite city in the U.S. I haven't been there for quite a few years, so thank you for sharing your lovely pictures. I so agree, their fences, gates, and gardens are so beautiful. You are so lucky to have been there during azalea time as it seems the whole city is abloom.

What a lovely post Carolyn :)
Beautiful Charleston...it now has been added on my 'wish to do list'
Really magnificent, the colors of the houses, the gardens and the statues...
Thank you for taking me there for this sneak preview ;)
LOVELY GREETINGS, MJ
FOTOS QUE ALEGRAN EL DIA.
PRECIOSAS LAS FLORES!!!

Chère Carolyn, merci pour le joli voyage‿✿
My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon in Charleston, and we loved it! We don't buy much artwork, but we have 2 Jim Booth prints of Charleston hanging in our home. Please share all of the photos of that gorgeous city you want!
Lauriane
It's been on my list of places to visit for some time now. I think it is a beautiful place.

Definitely on my list of places to go, and your pics make me want to move it right to the top.
Beautiful Charleston! It looks like a little village in Europe, I definitely have to go there
I have never been to North Carolina, Carolyn, so especially loved your tour. Charleston ooks like a lovely place. Thank you so much. Susan

Hi Carolyn, wow! this certainly jumped out at me because these are the neighborhood streets I walk regularly!
You did a wonderful job of capturing our beautiful and historic Charleston! I wish I'd known you were in the area, I would loved to have shown you around!
It's so odd that we were in Charleston the same day I think! Your photos are beautiful. I too tend to take fence photos. And we may have taken the same wisteria photo! I hope you saw my post on your book. I am enjoying it. Have a nice weekend,
I loved Charleston when we visited there about 6 years ago. I brought home a painting of one of those colorful houses. It hangs in our bedroom. It was yellow and red, of course.
hugs,
Jann
Charleston looks like the sort of town, that I love. I have heard many stories of it's beauty in Holland as well.
Have you visited mrs Whaley's garden? She passed away a few years ago, but I wonder if her garden is still there.
Happy weekend!

I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!! its colors, energy, optimism and beauty:) You live in the most charming place I've always wnted to visit:)and your garden is just stunning:)
Greetings from sunny Poland:)))
Your pics of Charleston - could never get sick of seeing them. I have always wanted to go there - nearly did when I made it to Savannah but didn't get to Charleston.
One of my favorite close tea society "sisters" lives near there and is always wanting the rest of us to come down. Was going to early spring this year but a family member turned ill and I have been her caregiver......so hopefully next year for sure when everything is in full bloom and not yet too hot!
And for anyone reading comments - I *highly* suggest buying Carolyn's book - it is GORGEOUS! And it makes a very nice gift for someone special for sure!
Carolyn, is there a chance you are related to the owners of Aiken Mansion? That is such a unique name- just wondering.
Happy Mother's Day to you. Hugs.
Just loved your pics!My parents have a home in Mt Pleasant and I go there as much as possible! Go to Middleton Plantation next time! It is by far the most beautiful one. I'll be posting pics on my blog this week,I was just there the first of April when all the buds were bursting open!
Its just heaven there isn't it!

I love Charleston and your photos really show off it's beauty. Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.
Hi Carolyn,
We saw some of the same things but my photography isn't as good as yours. We did have a lovely time though. The horse and carriage ride was so nice and I saw Rainbow Row. Loved all the soft colors and verandas everywhere.
Thank you for the nice reminder.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pix; we were there years ago and loved it! One of my favorite things were the colored row houses so it was fun to see those on your blog. Happy Summer.
I recently moved to Charlotte and have been planning to visit Charleston ever since I came to NC. Can you please suggest the best time to visit Charleston. I wish to see the same view as captured in the beautiful pictures here :)
Thanks!
