New Transferware

Hello everyone,
I think I mentioned that I found a couple more pieces for my collection of red and white transferware.I was really happy to find this covered bowl as I didn't have one and they are not easy to find here.

It is a beauty don't you think?

This is the markings on the bottom-just in case you wanted to know.

I also found this new Vista platter recently. Sorry for the poor shot of it.
The bottom of the platter plus the cups and saucers.
This is one time I shouldn't have used such a short depth of field!
Some beautiful tulips.

Tomorrow the temperature is going up to 10 Celsuis so I am hoping that will wipe out some snow. Spring is definitely on it's way!!!

Thank you for stopping in to see my new treasures.

Take care,
Carolyn

I too love red transferware and was lucky to inherit an entire set with many extra pieces of Mason's Vista from my great aunts. Your photos are so lovely and your tulips are gorgeous! I am feeling inspired to get some of my pieces out and create a few spring vignettes myself! Thank you for sharing your collection!

Hi Carolyn,
Big snow here today, it seems as if we're in the throes of winter again! It's hard to believe on a day like this that spring is around the corner (on the calendar anyway). Your tulips give me hope...Love the Mason pink vista, as you know. :-)

Lucious ! The color looks so rich and deep. Like the covered dish especially. Re. your photograph, I don't even know what "depth of field" means! You're way ahead of me!

Love the covered dish, Carolyn! I never see these pieces anywhere around here. One usually has to leave the Island to find something so gorgeous. Great finds!

Hi Carolyn,

Your collection of transferware is beautiful and I enjoy seeing them all. Thank you for your input regarding hydrangeas. I have no luck with Endless summer either. Although the label say they should be hardy enough, I can´t figure it out. I love Annabelle so I´m going to find out more and where to order them.

It´s been very sunny and spring-y around here lately (but cold air). Today, looking out my kitchen window, I see snow flakes in the air. I guess winter isn´t done just yet.

Have a nice day!
