I'm Back!

Hello everyone,
How are you all doing? I haven't been around here for awhile as I spent an unexpected week in the hospital and just got home last evening. I am feeling good as new now and am so happy to be back home!
Today,I want to share with you a little information about  Novica a company that features artisans from Third World countries that sent me this beautiful hammock to review on my blog.I have always loved these hammocks with the lacy trim and was happy to learn that though Novica  these talented artisans can earn a living. They do not just make hammocks but clothing, jewelry and things for the home too so I hope you will take a few minutes and check them out.

Soft cotton threads are patiently hand-woven into a spacious hammock. Utilizing ancestral techniques, skilled artisans create this beautiful work and adorn its edges with long fringe, crocheted and knotted by hand. From Maya Artists of the Yucatan, its twin stretchers are carved from pinewood.
Now as you can see from the photos the hammock is lovely but the weather is not yet conducive to lounging in a hammock just yet- but I am really looking forward to be lulled to sleep cocooned in my soft and comfy hammock under the stars on warm summer nights! You might also want to check out these links from Novica -Pendant Bracelets
Onyx Dangle Earrings
Silk Shawls from India
Blue Scarfs
Alpaca Wool Gloves
Turtleneck Sweaters

Thank you to those of you who sent emails expressing concern over my absence. In a couple of days I should be back into the swing of things.

Have a lovely weekend,

Carolyn

Sorry to hear you have been in hospital. Glad you are back with us again and feeling better.
You have done a fantastic job of photographing the hammock for them. It looks very inviting and your cushions compliment it so well.

I've been so worried about you! After a few days of your absence, I started praying that you and your family were all well. I'm sure your other blog friends have been doing the same.

Take care of yourself as you recuperate. You certainly want to be hale and hearty for spring, which really is right around the corner.

In Tennessee, the Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom, the Japanese Maple is just beginning to unfurl its red leaves, and the first tips of color are showing on the azaleas.

Blessings to all of you!

I'm glad you are okay, Carolyn! I had one of those unexpected trips to the hospital a few years ago ~ appendicitis! I was in the hospital for 3 1/2 days and had to recuperate for 2 weeks at home. I hope you are taking it easy.

Hello Carolyn
Glad everything is fine now; it won't be long before you can enjoy that gorgeous hammock. We've had weather in the 16-18 degree range and it is supposed to continue well into next week.
A pleasant surprise, this early spring.
Keep well.

Hello Carolyn! WOW! I thought you might be away on a vacation. Never did I even DREAM of you being in the hospital. Ohhhhhh, dear, I HOPE everything is okay. We would never want you to be ill.

Take good care, okay?

At first I thought the hammock was from Central America....they have similar ones there and quite gorgeous, too.
Carolyn, I'm so glad you are OKAY! Susan

I have never laid around in a hammock myself why well maybe it's because I am a big woman and would find it difficult to lay in a hammock without falling out.

I have only recently found your blog and it is the most beautiful I have seen. I am glad you are ok. You bring the pulse of Heaven to us all with your creativity and grace. I was selfishly concerned because I am due to have major surgery 4/11/12, with 6 to 8 weeks of recovery, and was looking forward to daily jaunts to your joyful place to speed my health. (I was concerned you had stopped blogging.) I am praying for your complete restoration. You are a delightful influence and impact.

I am so sorry to hear you were in the hospital. I was wondering where you were. The hammock is so lovely and i like the woven edge. We have a special hammock in our area called The Pawleys Island Hammock but I think the one your displaying here is prettier. Hope you are feeling better and take care.

I'm glad you're back, too. I missed you and thought perhaps you were off vacationing somewhere. I doubt you would consider a hospital stay a vacation, unless you were a mother with six kids at home still.:)
I love the hammock from Novica. I ordered a couple of things from them last year, with a gift code that they sent me. But a $40 order ended up costing me $100, due to shipping and handling. I hope this has not been your experience. On top of that the zipper broke on the purse that i got from them before I could even do a give-away with it. So the next time they asked me to review something, I kindly declined.
Hopefully your snow will be gone soon and the warm winds will blow and you'll get to enjoy the outdoor hammock.
Hugs, Cindy
