Summer Blues

Hello everyone!

I hope you are enjoying lovely summer

days.

With the arrival of summer beach days

are a favorite for many of us Islanders.

My husband built this arbor and gate a 

few years ago.

                                               Well, time to relax now with a
                                                           good book as the waves lap
                                                           gently on the shore and listen
                                                           to the occasional cry of the seagulls.....
                                                           ah! perfection!!!

Welcome Summer!

                                                                   

                                                                        Hello everyone!

                                              Summer is my favorite season here on the
                                              Prince Edward Island so I am happy it has
                                              arrived. Our temperatures have been cooler
                                              but by midweek summer temperatures are
                                              going to arrive.

                                              I love the summery shot (above) that I took at our
                                              daughter's cottage that it right next to ours. It was
                                              a fixer upper and they did an amazing job on it.
                                                Hopefully, soon I can share some photos of the
                                             before and after.
                                         

It is lupin season here on the Island so there are

lots of these summer beauties going wild on the

roadsides here.

I love the lupins in our garden as well.

The early peonies are in bloom now too.

I  Picked some rhododendrons for a

small bouquet.

The Deutizas are in full bloom in our

little secret garden.

                                                                 We went for a drive down east
                                                                  on the weekend and I had to stop
                                                                  for this summer shot.

                                          This year we are having our annual open garden
                                                    on Wednesday, July 11th from 6 to 8 so if
                                                    you would like to come and wander the garden
                                                   come along and bring a friend or two if you like.
