Winter Simplicity

                                                                                    Hello everyone,

                                                                         On this pleasant winter day I
                                                                         decided to do a simple little
                                                                         photo shoot for you.

                    January is a quieter month here

                     so it is a good time to play with

             my camera.

                                                                        I love how the red  enamalware really pops
                                                                        against the white snow.

                                                                   Spiced  apple cider is a welcome
                                                                   winter treat!

                                                    Well, enough playing with my camera
                                                               for today. It is a good day to make a
                                                               pot of hearty soup.

Winter Picnic

          Hello everyone,

We finally got a dusting of snow here

Monday night so I was happy to get

some outdoor shots before it melted

as it rained the next day.

A little winter picnic is always

fun.

Hot cocoa on a winter day

is a treat to me.

I found this enamalware pot

at the thrift store and snapped

it up for my winter picnic.

The arbor is decorated for winter

so it is a good backdrop.

A wool plaid throw is my

tablecloth today.

The cement statue is wearing

her winter garland.

                                                I thought you might like a change
                                                          from my indoor Christmas so
                                                          grab a cup of cocoa before you
                                                          go and I will be back tomorrow with
                                                           with some our spare bedroom pics.

Touches of Blue & White

         Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going well. We are just

finishing up our outdoor chores here this week.

Our temperatures have cooled and we know winter

will soon be on it's way.

We drained the pipes at our Ocean Song Cottage

last week so from now until spring it will be

shorter visits with the woodstove going

and a thermos of tea to enjoy in my

coastal enamalware mugs!

                                                                I am enjoying adding little
                                                                touches of blue and white.

                                                        I was happy to find these handmade
                                                        cross stitch lighthouse pictures at the
                                                        thrift store recently for the cottage.

                                                                 Recently,I enjoyed a humble lunch
                                                                 at the cottage with friends on a
                                                                 beautiful sunny fall day.

                                               Well, my focus is changing here now as
                                                          our home is on a Christmas House Tour
                                                          on December 9th so it will be full steam
                                                          ahead with decorating for Christmas!
                                                            I will share more info on the tour as soon
                                                          as I get more. It is a fundraiser for a
                                                          good cause and there will be other homes
                                                          on the tour as well. I love Christmas house
                                                          tours don't you?

Happy Weekend

Happy Weekend!

I know we are moving into October tomorrow but

the weather has been lovely here this month so we

are enjoying some rest and relaxation at our little

seaside cottage this weekend.

White wicker chairs to relax in

and enjoy a cup of tea.

                               

                                                                I got this shelf at the thrift store and
                                                                painted it white. It fits perfectly between
                                                                two windows and holds some blue and
                                                                white tea things.

         I got this enamalware tea set

        at the 70 mile yard sale last

weekend.

                                                                You can never have too
                                                                 many teapots.....can you?

                                                                       As you probably noticed the color
                                                                       theme for our cottage is blue & white.

                                               I hope you don't mind that I seem to be
                                                          behind the times here with my summery
                                                          post but I couldn't resist sharing these
                                                          photos that I took today.

                                                           I actually enjoyed doing some Fall decorating
                                                          at home and should have some more seasonal
                                                          shots to share soon.
