Rustic Country Christmas in Boathouse Conservatory

We had a beautiful sunny day
yesterday so I decided it was
the perfect day to do a little
                                                                      decorating for the Christmas/ winter
                                                                      season in our Boathouse.

This year I am going with a
rustic country theme.
Our little conservatory is
pretty small but it has lots
of light as we used old
french doors all around it.

A Friendly Village tea.

I love these old skates that I
have had for a long time and
you can't go wrong with plaid.

I think it looks nice and
cozy with the rustic theme.

In the past the Boathouse has
had several different looks...
not sure which is my favorite
but I had fun doing each one.
All, we need now is a little
snow to make it a perfect
winter retreat.

Next time I will share the nook
                          in the Boathouse also done
              in the  rustic theme.

I hope you enjoy the rustic
look in here as much as I do.

                             Happy Thanksgiving to all
                        my American friends!

                                          Thank you for visiting me!

Spring in the Boathouse Conservatory

After a couple of beautiful summery days
we went back to a cold windy spring day
here todaybut no matter because it was
lovely here in the Boathouse conservatory.

The Conservatory is facing south
and at the back of our little Boathouse.

It is a good place to enjoy tea
and some journal writing.

Violas in a basket.

This coming week I will start hardening
these plants off so they can stay outdoors
soon but for now I am enjoying them here.

I hope you enjoyed visiting in the  conservatory
today. I am amazed how how the garden popped
this week so I will have to take you on a little
garden tour soon.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend
and thank you for visiting me!

Afternoon Tea in the Boathouse Conservatory

            Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your weekend. We
celebrated two of our sons birthdays
here yesterday. They share the same
     birthday but five years apart

Today, I am sharing an afternoon tea
in the Boathouse conservatory that I
had one beautiful summer day a couple
of years ago but never shared on my blog~
just in one of my own magazines.

It is a gray day here so looking at these
photos gives me a lift and I hope they
will brighten your day too!

Lots of pretty aqua and pink
china.

And of course some tasty
treats to go with our tea.

Romantic vintage wicker chairs and
a small table I painted aqua/green.

Our conservatory is small but sunny
and cheerful.

A garden bouquet mixed with
store bought roses for our high
tea today.

          Love these roses!

I hope you enjoyed my afternoon tea
in the Boathouse conservatory. I know
I am looking forward to the days when
I can enjoy those summer time teas again
but first we have some snow to get rid off.

                           Thank you for visiting!

Christmas in the Boathouse Conservatory

                                                                            Good morning!

This morning I am sharing a few photos
of our little conservatory on the back(south)
of our boathouse all decked out for the
                                                       Christmas season.

I think it has a cozy English Country look.
I love this green wire birdcage that
I bought at Homesense a few years
                                                             ago.
The old thrift shop skates that I
painted blue and added some dark
Annie Sloan wax to and some fake
fur   ~ glued on.If you like the look
but don't have the wax some brown stain
will give an aged look as well.
Looks like Santa has arrived already!

                                                                              Warm and Cozy

    The Boathouse

For those of you who have not seen the exterior of
our little Boathouse, I have included a few winter
shots from previous winters. You can see the nook
is built out on the left (east) side.

The little conservatory is on the back ~ we used old
                                                      wooden french doors for it.
So the only part I haven't shared yet is the loft and I
haven't given it a Christmas makeover yet ....hopefully
                                           one day soon!

Thank you for visiting and welcome to my
                                                          new followers as well.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
