Blue & White

Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going well.
January is flying by or so it seems.

As I mentioned in my last post I am
sharing a blue and white theme today.
Blue and white is my favorite so I
have lots of photos today.

A corner in our cottage~ Ocean Song.

Blue and white in our garden.....
a pretty tea time.

Our bed nook at our cottage

Croquet anyone?

Tea in the garden with the fragrance
of roses anyone?

Ocean Song again

Of course, as a lover of blue and white I
have collected lots of blue and white china
over the years.

Blue and white tea with pretty lilacs.

I love this teapot that my husband gave
me several years ago. The bouquet
from our garden makes my heart sing too!

Lots of beauty in our June garden.

Biscuits and tea anyone?

Another garden tea

A charming little cottage in Provincetown Cape Cod.

Our little blue garden shed.

Since,I have shared several summer teas,
I will now share some winter teas which
are more in keeping with our present
season.

I hope you will let me know if you enjoy
my color themes and if there are
any other themes you would like to see.

Have a wonderful day!

Blue and White Teapots

                 Hello everyone,

I hope your week is going well.

I know I shared my red and white
                       transferware teapots awhile ago
but I don't think some of my
blue and white ones have ever
been shared here.

So,  I grabbed my camera
and took a few shots for you.

This teapot was a gift from a
friend. It is Genvine Ironstone
Ellgreave , England.

This teapot belonged to my Dutch Mama.

My husband gave me this tea set a
few years ago. It came from a
local gift shop.

I have a couple of other blue and
white teapots but they are at
our cottage and I am sure I
have shared them already.

A little search turned up a few of
my other blue and white tea pots
taken in the summer.

Enamelware tea set with
blue and white willow mugs.

My blue chintz set.

Well, I think that is all of my collection.
Hope you enjoyed a peek at them.

I think now is a good time to get
myself a nice cup of tea!

Thank you for visiting!

Blue & White Cottage by the Sea

               Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely Easter. It has
been awhile since I last posted here as spring
chores and projects took over.

We took a day to clean up the cottage for
the season a week or so ago so I am
looking forward to being able to stay
over there and relaxing for awhile.

This will be our 3rd summer for
         enjoying our little cottage.
It was a fixer upper so it wasn't
all just about relaxing but we
enjoyed seeing it all come together.

As you can see we went with a blue
and white theme which I find so relaxing.

We still have some projects to finish
but in the meantime we can enjoy
the peace and beauty.

The needlepoint sailboat pillow was a thrift
find .....all I had to do was
make it into a pillow.

I enjoyed finding furniture etc. for
the cottage at yardsales etc. and
giving them a coat or two
of white paint.

I love this hedge of hardy roses and am
so glad that someone had the foresight
to plant them years ago.

It is a lovely place to enjoy tea time.

But you will often find me enjoying this view
at the front of the cottage on beautiful summer
days.

Couldn't resist some sailboats inside.

I love watching the sailboats go by.

I have been busy with garden cleanup,
                                                     furniture painting, a bedroom makeover
some sewing and Easter so I hope you
don't mind that I have been absent lately.

On a different note, our garden is
popping a little more each day.
Soon, I will be able to pick my first
bouquet of daffodils for the season.

Hope you are enjoying your week
and thank you for visiting me.

                                                                                   Carolyn

Calico Tea

                                                                       Hello everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

We are in the process of closing up
our Ocean Song cottage for the winter
so before we leave I want to enjoy a
cup of tea using my calico tea set that
                                                           I bought a few months ago. I know I
didn't need another teapot but how
could I resist ? It suits well with the
blue and white theme at the cottage.

I love the mugs too that were also a
                                                        thrift find.

We will still be popping in to the
cottage but won't be staying at
                                                                   night again until spring.

My calico tea set sits happily on
the table waiting until our next
                                                                     tea time.

I had my last house and garden tour
on Thursday and we have decided not
to do the tours next year. I really enjoyed
my visitors over the last several years but
relaxing more at our little seaside cottage
doesn't seem like a good thing at this time
                                                                      in our lives.
So, with milder weather this week we
will get our garden cleaned up for winter
and then soon start decorating for the Christmas
season that will be here before we know it!

                                                                                              Thank you for popping in!

                                                                                                                 Carolyn
