Ocean Song Cottage ~ Peaceful Days

         Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a beautiful
weekend.

I have been dreaming lately of
peaceful days at our little
cottage.~ Ocean Song.

By late April we will be getting it ready
for the summer season.

But ,soon we will enjoy a couple of hours
on sunny, warm days with a book
and a thermos of tea.

A sure sign of spring  ere on the Island
is the return of robins and last
week we had our first sighting.

As you can see shades of blue and white
is the theme at our cottage.

We have done a lot of work to our
cottage to make it our own and still
have a few projects that we want to
do when tte mood strikes.

Our kitchen at Ocean Song. after we
made our changes to it.

The view at high tide
             Low tide at our cottage.

Linger over a cup of tea!

I enjoy long walks on the beach
when we are at the cottage. I love
to find seaglass on our walks to add
to my collection.

So, although I am looking forward to
those summer days, I also want to
enjoy these last days of winter
and the early signs of the
arrival of spring.

Wishing you a peaceful Sunday!

Take care,
Carolyn

Calico Tea

                                                                       Hello everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

We are in the process of closing up
our Ocean Song cottage for the winter
so before we leave I want to enjoy a
cup of tea using my calico tea set that
                                                           I bought a few months ago. I know I
didn't need another teapot but how
could I resist ? It suits well with the
blue and white theme at the cottage.

I love the mugs too that were also a
                                                        thrift find.

We will still be popping in to the
cottage but won't be staying at
                                                                   night again until spring.

My calico tea set sits happily on
the table waiting until our next
                                                                     tea time.

I had my last house and garden tour
on Thursday and we have decided not
to do the tours next year. I really enjoyed
my visitors over the last several years but
relaxing more at our little seaside cottage
doesn't seem like a good thing at this time
                                                                      in our lives.
So, with milder weather this week we
will get our garden cleaned up for winter
and then soon start decorating for the Christmas
season that will be here before we know it!

                                                                                              Thank you for popping in!

                                                                                                                 Carolyn

Afternoon Tea at Ocean Song Cottage

I hope your summer is going well.
It seems to be flying by here!

The peonies above are among the
last to bloom in our garden.

A casual beach themed tea

Curl up and enjoy a cup of tea in this
cozy corner  while enjoying a book
or magazine and of course the view.

I hope you enjoyed a little
                                                              respite at Ocean Song Cottage.

I am looking forward to tea at
                                                              a friends cottage this afternoon
but after that the garden is calling
my name. I will give you a garden
tour here in a few days.

                                                                            Thank you for visiting!

                                                                                                 Carolyn
