Hello everyone,
I am finally getting around to posting
some photos of our tea a few weeks
ago.
It was a beautiful day and I think
everyone enjoyed it.
Our theme for this tea was blue and white
and I was able to come up with enough
blue & white linens and china.
My granddaughter volunteered to
help serve and was a great help.
My friend Barbara made the bouquets
with flowers from Island Meadow Farms.
They were so beautiful and the blue
added to our theme.
I have collected vintage blue and
white tablecloths for a number of
years and they looked so pretty
on our tables on the screened porch.
I love these pretty blueberry
tarts on the blue and white
transferware plate.
A table set in the terrace was a perfect
shady place to enjoy tea and the garden.
We had a lovely young harpist
play for us....a nice addition
to our garden tea.
A beautiful bouquet with sunflowers
to remind us of the Ukraine is ready
to greet our tea friends at the gate.
Thank you to all who supported our tea!
I can't believe it is already September and
summer will soon be coming to a close.
I hope to enjoy as many summer activities
as possible before we move into fall.
Thank you for visiting me !
Carolyn

What a most delightful afternoon, I am sure. Sure would love to be on your invitation list!!
How do I subscribe to your blog? I don't see any place to subscribe.
It all looks so fresh and blue loveliness! The harpist must have been a delight and your porch looks so special!
Everything is so pretty
I love your tea party photos.
I wondered if that granddaughter was the same little girl you photographed years ago in the snow photos.
Blue and White are always so perfect together.
Always
Betty
Dearest Carolyn,
That no doubt was a lovely tea in a wonderful setting.
However, the purple flowers were a bit clashing with the blue theme.
On their own those flowers were stunning!
What a beautiful granddaughter you have.
Hugs,
Mariette
Your blue and white tea looked lovely.. and doing it for the Ukraine was so thoughtful on your part! Your vintage tablecloths are so so pretty, and those desserts look so good. Missed this post back in September, as I've missed all posts up to now! I don't seem to be getting notices of anyone's posts anymore! I'm going through now and reading up on what you've been doing for the summer. We had snow the other day so winter has started here in central Oregon! Marilyn
