Peaches & Tea

Hello everyone,

We had a lot of rain today so we
postponed our afternoon cream tea
until next Tuesday at 2 pm.

However, I have made some peach
preserves for the tea to go
with the scones and devonshire
cream.

We are going with a blue and white
theme and our teacups are ready.
I do love blue & white!

This teapot is special as it belonged to
my Dutch Mama.

An enamelware tea set from
the 70 mile yard sale a few years ago.

We are hoping for a nicer day next
week but we did need the rain.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

Dearest Carolyn,
Some very lovely sets you got and especially the teapot that belonged to your Dutch Mama!
We too have had lots of rain in the past couple of days, great for the yard but not for much else.
Both of us have been so lucky with 11 days of beautiful weather during my drive to the West and also our stay at Jenny Lake Lodge in the Grand Tetons.
It was quite a journey those almost 8,000 km of solo–driving but I did it with love and my Pieter now is enjoying my informative posts.
Sure, he is no longer the excellent photographer he once used to be but me being the driver, I've found some professional footage from the exact same scenic route I took.
Big hugs for summer,
Mariette

Oh those peach preserves look wonderful! I LOVE peaches.. especially fresh ones with cream and sugar on them.... from my childhood years. I'm sorry the rain cancelled the tea party, but I'm sure it went well the following week. Blessings to you for all you do! Marilyn
