A Christmas Tea

Hello everyone,

With Christmas day fast approaching
I decided to have a few friends in for
afternoon tea yesterday.

I set the table in the dining
area of our kitchen.

I used my red and white transferware
dishes and I made a sticky date
pudding with toffee sauce.

I seemed to have a bit of a last
minute rush so I didn't
have much time for pictures.

Red and white transferware
teacups on display.

We had some gluten free cupcakes
that my sister made.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon
together.

I went to lunch downtown today
with one of my daughters when
we were surprised by snow and
wind so we cut short our shopping
and went home early.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch at
The Gallery.

Today restrictions were announced
on the number of people we can have
for Christmas again this year along
with other restrictions.

I know we need to keep safe as
we had our first diagnosed case
of the Omicrom virus a couple
of days ago.

Anyway, I am counting my
blessings as we still have
much to be thankful for
and this too shall pass.

Thoughts and prayers to all
those who have suffered
from floods,fires and
tornadoes these past few
days and months.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

Dearest Carolyn,
That was a very nice set table for tea with friends!
Too bad that you had to cut short your shopping due to the weather...
Hugs,
Mariette
