Autumn Days

Hello everyone,

We are enjoying such a lovely
autumn here. I notice that
tender annuals are still blooming
in pots on doorsteps which doesn't
usually happen here this late in
the season.

Did I mention that after our library
project we decided to give our
porch/ mudroom a makeover?
We were happy with the color paint
we used in the library so we did the
porch the same color Wrought Iron
by BM.
This is just a little preview of it.
My husband built the bench with
cedar and I painted and made the
pillows and curtains so it kept us
both busy for a couple of days.

Thank you for your lovely comments
on our library. Here is another shot
of the angle I missed last time.

This beautiful large platter was on display
for the fall here but coming down now
to make room for Christmas......
coming soon!

I got this platter a few years ago at the
70 mile yard sale which due to covid
restrictions we haven't had for the past
two years but hopefully next fall it
will return.

Just in case you wanted to know the maker
of the platter I took a shot of the back for you.

It is still lovely to enjoy relaxing
by our pond.

The garden has been all cleaned up
now but there is still some
autumn colors left.

After coming in from our lovely
autumn walks we enjoy a cup of
tea by the fire this time of the year.

Thank you for visiting me,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn! Your Autumn is lovely! It has been late here too. Just peaked in the last few days. Gorgeous out. I didn't know if the leaves would get this much color but they did and they did not disappoint. I had to photograph an apple butter tea, for I canned some and it was making the house smell so good. I am so glad to see your blog. It is like a breath of fresh air. I will get back to blogging, but first I will get my homeschooling gig over with. I am stockpiling photos for when I get back and I can't wait! There is so much to share. Have a beautiful week!

Oh Carolyn such lovely colors there! This Autumn sure has been bright and vivid this Fall in central Oregon too. I'm surprised as it was so hot and dry all summer with very little rain. Things are finally settled down for the long winter's nap. I have trees with a few straggling leaves hanging on, and a few pots of geraniums still blooming, but they are starting to look bedraggled. I've surely enjoyed them for this long. Can't believe Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away! Two days ago, it was 65 degrees here and a gorgoues sunny day.. was just like Spring. I love the beautiful teacup sitting atop the books, with the fire in the background. That evokes such good feelings of coziness! Hugs.. Marilyn
