Pretty Bits of Antique China

Hello everyone,

It has been awhile since I posted but
we are now ready for winter to arrive
as we have the garden put to bed for the winter
planted new spring bulbs and closed up the
cottage for the winter.

I took these photos a few weeks ago with
the  next to last of my garden bouquets.

I love the soft daintiness of this
antique china from a local
antique shop a few years ago.
Sadly, the shop has since closed
it's doors.
Although they are two different
patterns they coordinate very well.

The chintz teapot was a
thrift find. The light
seems to have distorted
the color here as it is all
blue and white.

Just a little sample of tea times to
come as I have started to decorate
for the winter/ Christmas season
and I am loving the coziness of
the fairy lights and greenery ,the
fireplace etc.

We had a very mild day yesterday but
overnight the temperature took a big
drop and we now have a dusting of snow.

I am off for my walk and then some hot cocoa by the fire
will be my treat.

Thank you for your visit!

Carolyn

Goood Mornin', Carolyn!
I love those teacups & all your blue, of course! The holiday vignette is so very sweet, too. If you've been following my FB page, you know I've started early Christmas decorating, too. It's never too early, though, for all the coziness of the season, is it. I just love it. #DoWhatYouLove #LoveWhatYouDo I wish we lived closer so we could enjoy tea together. Sigh. We loved our stay with you and Andrew in September. You really made our holiday. XOXOX Hopefully, it's not too long before we can see each other again. Hi to Heather and please share with her that I am just LOVING her sheep picture. It means so much to us. And, I loved our tea together at her home. I have another FUNdraiser tea coming up on Sunday in support of #PinkDaysInBloom and Daffodil Place here at home. It has been a busy, busy time (just finished up #TheLittleChristmasFairForHope2019) but I enjoy it and it's wonderful to know the work is helping someone else. #WorldKindnessDayisEveryday Take good care. Talk soon. Sending love and hugs from Newfoundland.
Wishing you a beautiful day,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas

Lovely post as usual. I bet the dusting of snow is so beautiful... love your little afternoon tea setup for Christmas and that sweet little star felt ornament. I love red and white at Christmas! The vintage china is so pretty too... my mom used to love finding a piece here and there, and sometimes she would find a complete match at a different store far away. That was always exciting! I'm beginning to "feel alot like Christmas" too.. as have been making Christmas cards all during October, and still a few more to go. Really puts me in the mood! Have a wonderful day.... Marilyn

A walk and hot cocoa by the fire sounds so delightful! I love your new banner with the brown and white transfer ware, too. Very autumnal. :)
