Ocean Song Cottage Blues

         Hello everyone,

We are still enjoying our little Ocean Song
Cottage  by the sea but we will
soon have to close it up for the winter.

I gave the bed a warmer look by adding
a new blue cover and some new pillows.
I made the two big pillows from a pretty
striped blue and white turkish towel.

The warm navy throw is from Ikea.

This is my consession that summer is
over and fall has arrived!

Today was such a beautiful sunny day so
the sun was streaming in our little bed nook.

The bedspread is a vintage thrift find.

I love using my blue and white china.
They look pretty drying in the rack.

I hope you have a wonderful week and
thank you for stopping by today.

Take care,

The blues and whites are my favorite colors. I love the assorted china plates and cups. Your cottage is a dream.

Hi Penny,
The plate rack came from a local thrift store several years ago. I love finding unique little treasures at thrift stores!

Hi Barbara,
We love our little cottage too! Eventide cottage is not winterized either so we will soon have to close them both up until late April.
We are having a mild fall so far and the leaves are just starting to change color. Looking forward to some country back road drives when they are at their peek.
Thanks everyone for your comments and visit.

LOVE your beautiful seaside cottage, what a relaxing place. I can imagine naps with the windows open and the sound of the surf lulling you to sleep. What could be better than that?

Everything is lovely and I love your blue & white dishs. As a wee little girl, I can remember my great grandmother had a plate rack that went around the kitchen and I've grown up to love dishs also. And to see the ocean out of the window....I can't imagine that =). I look out the window and see the mountain covered in trees starting to turn colors. I can't swim so maybe its a good thing I can't have the ocean nearby...=)
