A Cozy Fireside Tea

Hello everyone,

It seems like winter has arrived early
this year as the temperature has dropped
and we had a surprise snowfall accumulation
that has stayed and more on the way tomorrow.

So, I am enjoying a cozy tea by
the fireside.

I confess I have already started to
decorate for Christmas in our family
room as I love the coziness of the
Christmas lights on these chilly long
evenings.

                                                                     My red and white transferware
is a favorite all year but especially
                                                                     at Christmas.
I am slowly picking away at
getting the rest of the Christmas
decor done but I am happy to snuggle
in here for now and enjoy my tea by
                                                                      the fireside.

Hope you have a cozy evening!

                                                                                                   Carolyn

Just lovely! I imagine your nights are long already and this room is so cozy! But I have a question about your stove. Is it electric or gas? I thought you have to have stone under and behind a stove like that. Anyway, it is so inviting! New Jersey is having a snowstorm as I write this, November 16, early for us.

Hi Thankful,
Thank you for your visit, and yes the stove is a propane gas stove
that throws a lovely heat and has glass on 3 sides to enjoy the flickering flame.
Linda looking forward to seeing you soon as well...lots of fun coming up!
Have a great day!

How pretty it all looks and reminds me that I need to sort out Christmas decorations before too long.
The cosy fire and a cup of tea and shortbread looks perfect on a cool evening.
Wishing you a lovely week-end Carolyn.

Carolyn, Your holiday decorating is charming! I love the cozy vibe and am drawn to the "village" across the mantel. Can you describe what it is made of etc.?
I'm in Tennessee and we had snow flakes yesterday! My daughter is in coastal Maine and they are having a snow day today! Being from the east coast, i miss snow true snow days!

Oh this does put me in the mood for Christmas!!! (as I sit here drinking my pumpkin spice tea). Love all the twinkling lights too.. and your woodstove with the wood backdrop is especially wonderful! Love the houses on the mantel... are they wood? The red transferware is so perfect for Christmas... as are those yummy looking cookies.. makes me want to make some rolled sugar cookies! I feel more in the mood this year for some reason, for Christmas, and the lights and decorations. We just got a fireplace wood burning insert and we are so enjoying the evening fires. It's cold enough here now in central Oregon, has been down to 12 degrees at night. Love your posts! Marilyn

It looks so inviting and cozy. Especially by the fireside.

We've got snow here in Alberta and so we're getting in the mood for decorating now. More wintery themed things for now and then December 1st all the red and green and glittery stuff comes out.

I do love your red transferware. I have a set with the old British castles on them. It's lovely to bring out this time of year, but I use it any time.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend...
