Garden Bouquets

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying these early days
of spring. I am happy to see life in the garden
again as I do my daily rounds to see the what
has poked up overnight. I am amazed at how
quickly the snow left and daffodils, tulips and
some perennials are growing. Also, our pond
is rapidly opening up and our pair of Canada
Geese have returned. So much to look forward
too!
I am sharing some garden bouquets to brighten
your day.

if they are not from the garden.

Lilacs and tulips

soon it will be time for our lilacs
to bloom here again.

Lilacs and lupins make a pretty combo.

Peonies are an all time favorite.

Red Roses Tea

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a great summer.
We have had a beautiful summer here
on the Island.

I decided to enjoy a little summer
tea on the porch today with a
bouquet of some of my red roses
from a large pot on the balcony.

A mix of red and white transferware with
a pretty handmade checked tablecloth
along with the red roses was perfect
for my tea time. I love that I could
admire the garden while enjoying my tea
and scones.

The antique tea pot was a thrift find.

I know it has been a long time since I
posted here even though I have been
taking photos.....you can check some
out on my Instagram by the same name
as my blog if you like.

I hope you enjoyed my summer tea
on the porch.

Enjoy the rest of your summer....it
is going by so quickly.

Thank you for stopping by!
Take care,
  Carolyn

Winter White

Hello everyone,

I hope your winter is going well.
Can you believe we are already
saying goodbye to January?
So far winter has been kind to
us here on the Island.

On a nice sunny winter day is lovely
out in our little sunroom so it is a
perfect place to enjoy a cup of
tea and a book.
I also enjoy the view out over
the garden even in winter.

A pretty green and white transferware
cup of tea awaits and you can choose
a book to enjoy!

I am enjoying seeing the days
getting longer and the sun
is getting stronger....spring
before we know it!!!
Thank you for visiting today.
Take care,
Carolyn

Shades of Purple

Welcome April !

I am always happy to welcome April
as the days are longer and the garden
is showing lots of signs of life. Also,
I love seeing more songbirds in the
garden......Oh! good things are
coming!

Shades of purple are the theme of
the day. Right now we are still in
the brown(mud) phase of the year
                                                          so I am craving color.

A splash of color

I love purple /blue in the garden

I can't wait to set up the porch for
spring again.

Of course I have to have some
purple transferware. I don't
see it often around here but
I always snap it up when I do.

Before we know it, lupin season
will be here. I love going for a
drive and seeing it growing wild
along our country roads.

Who doesn't love a bouquet of
lilacs.....I know I do!

I will end with a cup of tea in
the sunroom.

I hope you enjoy the rest of
your weekend!

Thanks for visiting,

Carolyn

Bouquets and Tea

Hello everyone,

It is a snowy day here again
today so I am enjoying going
through some of my old photos.

I thought you might enjoy some
cheery bouquets and tea today.

The above teapot is really old
but oh so pretty.

Some spring cheer in the
Boathouse.

Peonies, roses and cupcakes

A garden tea with my red and white
transferware dishes. The bouquet
was fresh picked from our August
garden several years ago.

Spring green

I love these yellow English roses from
our garden with vintage china.

Love those pink hydrangeas with
the pretty dishes.

Hope you are having a happy

Warm and Cosy Christmas Tea

Hello everyone,

We have been enjoying warm
and cosy teatimes in our family
room since our home has been
decorated for several weeks now.

Red and white transferware
and sugar cookies are our
treat for today.

Snuggle in by the fire

It is warm and cosy in here in
the evenings and on dark
dull days.

A compy place for a fireside chat
with a hot cup of tea.

It was just announced that we have
31 new cases of covid today.
That is by far the most we have
had in one day since the beginning.

Looks like we might have more
time to stay warm and cosy
in here if we start having
more restrictions!

Thanks for visiting and stay
well and safe.

Take care,

Carolyn
