New Touches in The Gardener's Cottage

                                                                     Happy Monday!

It is another beautiful day here today
and the garden has perked up after a
heavy rain or two last week.

I was excited to find this old vintage quilt a few
weeks ago at a thrift store and I think it is perfect
                                                              for The Gardener's Cottage.

I added some of my transferware to
the corner cupboard in here as well.

Tea is waiting.

I treasure this beautiful watercolor painting of The
                                                   Gardener's Cottage
done by a young American artist who reads my blog.
She gifted me with it when she came to visit ~ she used a photo
from my blog.Thank you so much Julie!

                                                                    Soft shades of blue

I hope you have a wonderful day!

                                                           Thanks for visiting me,

                                                                        Carolyn

I just love how you decorate the cottage. You always do it in away that looks so peaceful and inviting.

You've got more fans from Oklahoma and elsewhere after I shared pictures of your beautiful gardens! So glad the painting found a good home in the cottage. Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity to visit, it was definitely a highlight of PEI for both my husband and I :)

Oh I want to come and spend the night there in your little sweet cottage, and read my book by the light of a flickering candle! The vintage quilt is so perfect for your cottage and the colors blend so beautifully! All of the blues and lavenders, and each little ornament you've chosen make this cottage just to inviting. I especially love the heart "welcome" sign... love it so much. And the watercolor of the cottage.. what a wonderful addition to the cottage. Julie was so nice to gift it to you. All in all.. one of my favorite views of the cottage lately... I MUST pin it so I can dream of some day having a sweet cottage such as this!

Carolyn, thank you for sharing your life with us out here in the hinterland! I love everything that you share with us. Could I ask a huge favor? I would love to have a good photo of your gorgeous old fashioned screen door...I think it may be on the main house. I would love to replicate it for my 'get-away' Shed Room if you don't mind. Thanks a bunch!
