I hope you are enjoying your week.
We have been busy here but I am loving
being out in the garden in this beautiful
sunny weather.
Today, I thought you might like to see
our little secret garden which is tucked
in behind our barn and enclosed on the
other sides by trees and fences.
So, let's go through the arbor built by
my husband several years ago.
and on the left are roses,hardy geranium
lady's mantle and hostas.
Nelly Noser on the other side.
was a road side find several years ago
and it makes a good planter now.
white Magician Deutiza are blooming.
There are four of them.
is a water fountain adding a gentle
sound of water cascading down.
Every year we have robins that build
their nest in the vine. Some years finches
nest in the deutizas as well.
the back and if you look closely you can
see there is a mirror in behind her adding
interest to the garden. Virginia creeper is
growing around her.

and you might remember that
I have a passion for peonies so
we have over one hundred and
thirty of them. My Dad gave me my
first ones over 25 years ago and I
wish I could tour the garden with
him now. He passed away 21 years
ago.

So lovely, Carolyn! I love the vine that climbs all over the barn. My father passed away twenty-one years ago too. A sad time for both of us. Your header is beautiful and the colours are just so soothing. Happy Canada Day!

What a wonderful spot and so calm and lovely with the blue. I know how you feel a little because I had my store 28 years but my Mom never got to see it and I would have loved that. You arbor is so pretty, the table and all the sweetly painted items.

I just recently saw one of your pictures on Pinterest, and since then I have spent hours looking through past blogs. I love all of your photos! I was wondering if you could give some tips on storing and organizing your supplies. I do teas (on a much smaller scale than you do), but I don't have a very good system for organizing my things. Do you have any suggestions!

I love the mirror behind Martha... can't see the fountain you mention but I can imagine the trickling water... I so love the sound of water trickles.... do I sound like I'm in love? Yes I am!
