Hello everyone,
I hope you week is going well. I don't
have any new photos to share with you
as the garden has not yet reached the beauty
of the shot above but the daffodils just need a
few warm days until they burst into bloom and
the tulips won't be far behind.
So, I thought you might like to revisit our
little Gardener's Cottage which is nestled
into our garden.
We had this cottage built several years
ago and used recycled material for it
wherever possible. The windows in the cupola
for example used to be on our house when
we first moved here.
The inside of the Gardener's Cottage
is mainly white so I can easily change
the look with quilts,china etc.
My husband built the corner cupboard
for me and I enjoy displaying my thrift
store china on it.
The toile slipcover on the chair
was a lucky thrift find...I am a
fan of toile.
These shots were taken in lilac season
a few years ago. I am looking forward to
the pleasure of lilacs again.
My thrift store dollhouse( $20 )
spends the summer out here and
has been well used by our grand
daughters.I have painted the roof grey
since this photo was taken.
This is the other side of the room.
It has no kitchen or washroom but
is a peaceful retreat for a tired
gardener or a fun sleepover spot
for the kiddo's.
Behind the Gardener's Cottage
it is tea time.
Or on the south end outside the
french doors is a small rose
garden with the chaise to relax
while enjoying the beauty and
fragrance of the roses.
Well, I hope you enjoyed a little
peek into the Gardener's Cottage
and after it gets a spring cleaning
I will share some new photos of it.
If, you would like to see more photos
with a different look you can click here
or here and for pink lover's go here.
If you are not bored yet you can see more
of the Rose Garden here.
I am joining Bernideen's Tea in the Garden
Party as well.
Thank you for visiting me!

Many of your photos are almost blogging classic now. Such a beautiful style. Always a pleasure to visit.
I agree your pictures is truly 'blogging classic'! Absolutely fantastic !!! We are having a very cold spring as well so we are just waiting for some warm weather for every thing to explode. All the best Mari
Adorable cottage...add a small bath and a tiny kitchen and I would live there... xo
I never tire of seeing the cottage, Carolyn. The doll house is my favourite. I have seen several but I like yours best. The interior of your cottage is so dreamy and I love the rose garden beside it. I remember it smells heavenly! Hope you are enjoying these sunny days and it will be lovely when it warms up. I was checking the weather graph and for the next two weeks we're below normal. Pity because our season is so short. Have a beautiful day and I look forward to seeing your garden in bloom soon.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi Carolyn,
I just love your little cottage!! Your husband made the corner cabinet, you two are a talented pair... it is wonderful!
Hugs,
Bella
Lovely!
Is this cottage different than the one by the pond, or is it the same one? What fun to have this space. I'd love one like it!
We should all have a little cottage to escape to like yours, it's cozy looking and decorated with pretty feminine touches. My Beauty of Moscow lilac is loaded with blooms this year, a pleasant reminder of you and your lilacs.
What a wonderful dollhouse. Dolls are realy beautiful.
Hi Deanna,
It is different than the Boathouse by the pond.....
I know I am spoiled!
Thank you everyone for your visit and kind words.
Carolyn
The litlle cottage is a beautyful litlle house. Sleepovers must be happy for the oppurtunity to spend the night in it.
Their dreams can only be nice in your dreamhouse. Well done bouth of you.
Blessings. Åsa
Such a beautiful setting you have created, the cottage and the gardens! Those lilac are so lovely too -- I can't wait to see more from this year when it's time. Thanks for sharing them! -Beth
Hello there!
I just stumbled across your blog, and I'm so thrilled I did. Oh, how I just love your header and pictures on every post. Your tea pots are so beautiful, and Prince Edward Island looks like such a splendidly wonderful place to live. I do wish I could visit there someday...is the island very big?
Do you think you could post more pictures of the island? I would love to see them. :)
Your house is very pretty, with all the lace and tea items. :D
I hope you have a wonderful day! :D
Much love in Christ,
Ashley

Your Gardener's Cottage is gorgeous. I grew up in Canada, but never had the pleasure of visiting Prince Edward Island. It needs to be on my bucket list. :-)
I like this little home!.
I always enjoy visiting your blog, it lifts my spirits. Our daffodils, tulips, azalea's and dogwoods have all bloomed out already. My poppy's and nasturtiums will soon be ready to be pulled up, they can't take too much of our heat and humidity. I've had difficulty growing clematis too. I would love to have clematis thriving here as well as peony's, lilacs and I'm sure I could think of others. Thankfully coming to your blog satisfies me somewhat. You live in such a beautiful place, it's a joy to visit your blog.
