Sweetness

                                                           Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was busy but nice. Our house & garden tours went well in spite of the cooler temperatures. We had the fireplaces going and the wood stove so we all could warm up by a cozy fire.We had about 45 people from Japan between the 2 tours and I was happy to see their smiling faces!
On Friday we had our little granddaughters come for a visit. The girls ( Abby & Olivia) often like to dress up in some pretty dresses when they come.
Tea is serious business for Olivia!

May they always enjoy a cup of tea at Grandma's house!
Just a few other sweetness photos from my older files.

We had our first frost of the season a few nights ago but this shot was taken in the garden a couple of years ago. It is one of my favorite autumn rose pictures.

We have 25 visitors from Japan coming on Tuesday afternoon and it looks like a warm but wet day for us so we will have to dig out the umbrellas again. Ater this tour the season is over for another year. A little clip of our garden(and other points of interest on the Island) aired on the BS network in Japan a couple of weeks ago and it is interesting that some of our recent visitors have enjoyed seeing it. Hopefully, they all want to come visit  us next year!!!

Some day soon I am going to spend a day taking photos just for you!

Take care,
Carolyn

What great shots Carolyn! I so love the frost on the rose.. so do tell, who went out early to catch that??

And 25 guests from Japan.. lucky you!! Get ready and be just who you are.. as always.. sweet.

Ps.. I'd love to be the fly on the wall during that darling fairy tea party.. to listen in the wee whispers of deep secrets and wishes to come.

Thanks for giving me a boost today!

I love seeing your blog posts. How lady like your girls look in their pretty dresses, having tea at Grandmas. It will be something they'll always remember. When I was a little girl, we weren't aloud to drink tea we were always told 'You're not old enough yet' I'm so glad times have changed.

Oh Carolyn - you are so very blessed to have granddaughters who share your love of sweetness and beauty. They are just precious! My one and only granddaughter would rather ride a 4-wheeler through the mud than dress up and have a tea party. lol!

No pictures of sweetness can beat those of those prescious sweet baby girls...Just love to see little girls with their minds on these sweet endeavors. We too have Sweetness here, who loves to "go to the ball" with Grandpa while she wears her "ball gown" and my high heels. These days are precious. With little brothers it's hard to make time for tea parties for her, but the "balls" always go on. :) Thank you for another lovely post. ~Zuni

So sweet. I have been overloaded with work and so so busy. I just knew that stopping by would make forget it all. This was so sweet.

What little darlings your granddaughters are! I hope in a couple of years I can invite mine for tea time with Nanny.
Your pictures make me miss summertime! I love those soft colours. I'm glad your tours went well. I was hoping my aunt and uncle would be over this Autumn for a tour but they didn't come this year. They went out west instead. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Blessings,
Sandi

Your roses with the frost on them look like they are coated in sugar. You have such lovely & charming grand daughters. What fun for them to come and dress up for Tea. Something I am sure they will remember for years to come, and pass onto their children.
