A Romantic Afternoon Tea

Hello everyone,
We have some lovely sunshine here today so it is a lovely day to enjoy a little afternoon respite with a cup of tea and a good book.

I love this teapot that I got a few weeks ago .
I love this vintage dress that looks like hand crochet .It even fits perfectly so some summer afternoon I think I should host a Victorian Tea and ask all the ladies to wear something victorian.
A brown transferware teacup.
Some heart shaped sugar cookies-just a light snack with tea.

A better look at the vintage dress-perfect for a romantic afternoon tea-don't you think!

I love this pitcher with the creamy roses.
Now,I have a good book for you to read. It is written by an amazing Canadian Christian author and I highly recommend it.

I will tiptoe out and leave you with your tea and book in our little reading nook-Enjoy!

I am joining Tea Time at Rose Chintz Cottage this afternoon.

Thank you for stopping in to visit me!

Carolyn

The dress is so pretty - an afternoon spent with a good book and, in my case, a cup of hot chocolate sounds perfet.

Hello Carolyn, I just found a lace victorian dress at a antique mall in Florida while vacationing, so now I have a dress for your tea! If only we didn't live so far apart! Love your new teapot. I would love to collect the brown transferware. It would go so well in my log home. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Carolyn,
Thanks for the tip about the book. I'm going to see if I can track it down here. (BTW, how did the little ones like the Dutch fairytale I sent?) Thanks, too, for the link to yesterday's post. Dandy teapot and dress, m'dear. You've got a nose for the best finds ever! Can I come shopping with you, please! Hope you and Andrew are enjoying a lovely evening.

Such a beautiful dress! I really envy you that can ware that one. Victorian dresses are really hard to find here, I think.
And a lovely pot for your romantic tea. Guess I should do the same, sit back and read a good book. I have several that I haven't had time to read yet!!
Hope you have a lovely day.
