Romantic Picnic by the Sea

Hello everyone,
It was a beautiful day here today ,sunny and warm- so I thought it would be a lovely day for a picnic.
Fort Amherst is about a 30 minute drive from our home and it is a beautiful provincial park overlooking the Charlottetown harbour.

Every picnic needs a little bouquet!
Did you notice the lovely old lighthouse in the background?
Strawberries, cupcakes and tea with a lovely old postcard from a friend.
Some biscuits with your tea?

It is a peaceful place to sit and read for awhile! I could not resist buying this dreamy hat when we were in Charleston last year.-it came from TJMaxx. I have natural curly(fuzzy) hair so I love to wear hats in the garden to hide my hair. Just as red hair was the bane of Anne in Anne of Green Gables existence curly(fuzzy) hair is mine!Ha!Ha!
or just gaze at the view

Daydream while you enjoy a cup of tea!

My husband took the pics that I am in.

Thank you for visiting me today- I hope you enjoyed this romantic little picnic as much as I did.
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday today where will be lots of pretty tablescapes.

Carolyn

How beautiful...I love that tea was outdoors...and everything looks so good...and coordinates well with the natural landscape, too :) :) I was really curious about that old lighthouse. I think lighthouses are romantic. Oh, I'm a huge "Road to Avonlea" fan and every time I see a lighthouse, I think of Gus Pike and that old lighthouse he lived in..

Have a lovely week :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

I wanted to see your romantic picnic before I got to bed, and I'm so glad I did! You just do it up right don't you? These scenes are so wonderful, and so is your picnic! I've never taken flowers on our picnics. But you're right! Every picnic does need them! Every detail is so enchanting. Just lovely. No magazine is good enough for you!

Greeting, Carolyn! Thank you for visiting my savory summer at The Writer's Reverie. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your picnic tea. How lovely - breathtaking , in fact - like a page out of a novel! And, for a moment, I thought you were wearing my dress - and I actually own a hat very like yours! I'm in New Jersey - we have lighthouses here and marshland inlets. But, I have a feeling Prince Edward Island may give one pause to gasp that my Jersey homeland does not. I wrote a literature study on Anne of Green Gables some years back when I was teaching English for middle school students. Love that series! My favorite is Anne's House of Dreams - featuring a lighthouse and copious time for tea!
Joy!
