Hello everyone,
It was a beautiful day here today ,sunny and warm- so I thought it would be a lovely day for a picnic.
Fort Amherst is about a 30 minute drive from our home and it is a beautiful provincial park overlooking the Charlottetown harbour.
Every picnic needs a little bouquet!
Did you notice the lovely old lighthouse in the background?
Strawberries, cupcakes and tea with a lovely old postcard from a friend.
Some biscuits with your tea?
It is a peaceful place to sit and read for awhile! I could not resist buying this dreamy hat when we were in Charleston last year.-it came from TJMaxx. I have natural curly(fuzzy) hair so I love to wear hats in the garden to hide my hair. Just as red hair was the bane of Anne in Anne of Green Gables existence curly(fuzzy) hair is mine!Ha!Ha!
or just gaze at the view
My husband took the pics that I am in.
Thank you for visiting me today- I hope you enjoyed this romantic little picnic as much as I did.
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday today where will be lots of pretty tablescapes.

Hello Carolyn...
What a delightful post, my friend! I'm sure that Victoria or Romantic Homes will be contacting you any minute now! Now only is your picnic fabulous but ohhh...that view is just breathtaking! Ft. Amherst certainly is picturesque...with it's cove and lighthouse in the distance!!!
I really did enjoy your sweet picnic...soooo many pretties! Starting with that lovely picnic basket and lovely lace linens! My friend, you look just stunning in the photos too! What a dreamy day you must have had! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! This was such a delight!!!

What a beautiful tea party by the sea!
A peaceful place with beautiful views:)
Wish you a lovely weekend, hug Hanne
Such a pretty picnic spot..I adore picnics!
Looking forward to a few at the lovely Niagar-on-the-lake in 2 weeks!
Happy day!
Deborah :)
How beautiful...I love that tea was outdoors...and everything looks so good...and coordinates well with the natural landscape, too :) :) I was really curious about that old lighthouse. I think lighthouses are romantic. Oh, I'm a huge "Road to Avonlea" fan and every time I see a lighthouse, I think of Gus Pike and that old lighthouse he lived in..
Have a lovely week :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
What amazing photos! Your photo is every woman's dream scene for a romantic picnic by the sea. Now where was your Romeo, Juliet?
What a beautiful and romantic picnic by the shore! Your gorgeous photos and all the pretty picnic items are magazine worthy. So lovely. Pamela
Breathtaking scenery and lovely pictures. What a wonderful picnic!

How beautiful Carolyn! Please share with us where you find your lovely romantic wardrobe.. I recall a charming dress shop in a Charlottetown mall downtown? Wish I was there... Enjoy the rest of your week!

Hello again.. yes we are busy packing & sorting! Exciting but heart wrenching at the same time.. Every piece I touch I remember where and when I collected it..The lady that purchased our home also bought allot of the furniture so that made it easier. Have a great evening!

Ok Carolyn...Seriously....you need to publish a book of your photos, girlfriend. Really!!! They continually leave me speechless and wanting more. ♥ YOU, my dear, are a very talented stylist and photographer. :) (Not to mention that beautiful island on which you live.....)
xoxo laurie
Carolyn, I always enjoy your posts, but this one is my absolute favorite! Such lovely and romantic picnic items, gorgeous nature views, and a beautiful lady!
I just can't find the words to describe this post, except to say that it makes my heart feel so good! Terryx
You truly find the most fabulous settings for photo ops on your wonderful Island, don't you. The lighthouse in the background is just so romantic! You do PEI proud, I hope they realize that in Charlottetown!
Hugs, Cindy
Carolyn, this is one of your most beautiful photo stories ever. That background! And your picnic spread is really delectable. Just delightful in every way as only you can create. – g

I wanted to see your romantic picnic before I got to bed, and I'm so glad I did! You just do it up right don't you? These scenes are so wonderful, and so is your picnic! I've never taken flowers on our picnics. But you're right! Every picnic does need them! Every detail is so enchanting. Just lovely. No magazine is good enough for you!
Beautiful!!! no comments))))))))
I love your blog, your photographs, your decorating style....just everything! You are a very gifted lady. Thank you for sharing with us.
I tuoi pic-nic,sono romantici e da favola!Posti meravigliosi per rilassarsi e sognare!Rosetta
The last number of days has come true in the waters and sky around Charlottetown for sure. The peace is shown in your photos, they are magnificent. Your picnic looks like a lovely afternoon, I always say, Want Peace? Go East!
That looks like a dream! What a pretty spot to have a picnic.
PS I love your dress and hat!
Greeting, Carolyn! Thank you for visiting my savory summer at The Writer's Reverie. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your picnic tea. How lovely - breathtaking , in fact - like a page out of a novel! And, for a moment, I thought you were wearing my dress - and I actually own a hat very like yours! I'm in New Jersey - we have lighthouses here and marshland inlets. But, I have a feeling Prince Edward Island may give one pause to gasp that my Jersey homeland does not. I wrote a literature study on Anne of Green Gables some years back when I was teaching English for middle school students. Love that series! My favorite is Anne's House of Dreams - featuring a lighthouse and copious time for tea!
Joy!
Miss Kathy
This place is magic... the images seem postcards... Great!
Carolyn, your photos are dreamy! We haven't been over to Fort Amherst in years. Love your pretty outfit and the snowballs make your tea look so romantic. Have a nice weekend.

Your husband captured the romantic picnic beautifully, what a great scene in the distance.
Real china and scones with strawberries by the water, life is good.

Dear Carolyn, You never fail to create the dreamy feeling and take us back in time or real time your way. Enchanting! I thought of Anne of Green Gables when I saw you sitting there. Perfection! Many many happy returns to the day for you and all who are lucky to share your magic. I with my straight hair long for fuzzy curls! ;>)
