Cupboard Makeover

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I finally decided to give this old cupboard a little makeover. I bought this old cupboard at Coulson's in Summerside a few years ago and it was stained pine when we bought it. For a few years it was a my daughter's house in her kitchen. She painted it a cupboard gold to match her cupboards. However, they moved to a new house last year so the cupboard came back to me and as you probably know it quickly filled up with dishes.

The gold worked okay so I left it for awhile but this weekend I decided to paint it Victorianna by Ralph Lauren the same color as the woodwork in most of our home.

Once the paint dried I had fun changing the dishes to my brown and white transferware with some cream ones mixed in.

Some of you may remember these from the library that I shared a few weeks ago. So, now I can have fun redoing the table display in there! Good thing it will soon be garden season and the only thing I will be moving will be perennials and compost.
Our oldest grandson Alec in the photo.
And his brother Sam in this one.
Cupboard gold color it was before it's little makeover.
This is the cupboard as it sits in our family room which also has the reading nook I shared a few weeks ago on the other side of the room.

Today I am joining Cielo at the house in the roses for show off your cottage Monday where there is lots of inspiration.
Also it is Metamorphsis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch so I am joining Susan as well and once agin lots to see over there.

Thank you for visiting me today,

Carolyn

Dearest Carolyn,

The white looks far better than the previous color, especially striking for its back side. Great job. It surely holds lots of your china so you must be very happy with this addition.

Lots of love,

Mariette
