A Look Back at the Garden

Hello everyone,

I really enjoy looking back at our garden
over previous years in the winter.

I hope you will enjoy a stroll through as
well.

This is shot from the balcony looking down
to the west in late spring/early summer.

                                                                   A border in June.

I always loved this arbor that my husband built
several years ago.....sadly when Fiona whipped
through a couple of years ago it was demolished
but my husband has built another one without
the gate......but coming soon!

The garden is so colorful in August.

Lilacs are always a favorite.

As are peonies and roses.

A misty morn in the garden

I am looking forward to getting
back out there but first I will
                                                     enjoy winter!

                                                        Lilac time

Alliums are so pretty and so easy to
care for as they spread around the garden.

I have thousands more pics of the garden
but I am sure you have had enough for one day!
                                                                             Take care,
                                                                                  Carolyn

Mellow Yellow

Hello everyone,

On this sunny winter day I am sharing
some of my sunny mellow yellow
photos . These were taken over the years
that I have been blogging so it is
a yellow theme day today.

A sunny Easter Tea in our little sunroom.

Love these yellow Celebration roses from
David Austen with the pretty tea cup.

Yellow flag iris around the pond
look pretty.

A beautiful yellow peony was added to
my collection of peonies a few years ago.

A beautiful yellow heritage home with
a tea setting.

Some pretty handmade quilts add to
a tea time in our terrace.

Yellow always looks so cheerful.

I will end with my pretty teacup again.

I hope you enjoy my themed posts as I
am going to do a blue and white
theme next. I will have lots to
choose from there as I could
probably do a whole book
on blue and white.

Thank you for your visit!

Take care,

Carolyn

Garden Beauty

Happy weekend!

I hope you are enjoying your
weekend.

I am ready for some garden beauty....
I hope you are too as I am sharing
some colorful garden photos
from our garden.
We still have snow here so
it will be awhile yet before
the first bulbs poke their
heads up but I enjoy
looking forward a bit.

Globemaster alliums on the left
and daffodils on the right

Tulips add a riot of color in the
spring garden.

Hammock days in the garden are
                                              the best!

Clematis and delphiniums are in
my top ten garden favs.

Colorful daylillies are abundant in our
in our August garden. Clematis Jackimani
                                 Superbra on the right.

I do love purple and blues in
                                                  the garden.

More clematis

The Fairy rose on left and a beautiful
hydrangea on the right......sorry,
I don't know the name of it.

                                                       peonies and clematis

                                              Roses and peonies are definitely
in my top ten favs as well.
                                                What are your favorite plants
                                              in the garden?

                                                             Thank you for your visit
                                                              and take care,
