A Winter Day Country Drive

Happy Weekend

We are expecting a big winter storm
here again this weekend so I have
been baking some treats and a big
pot of soup so we can snuggle up
with a good book.

I love to go for a drive in the country
on a pretty winter day and of course
my camera comes with me.

Love the contrast of a red barm
and pure white snow.

This rustic barn really caught my eye.

This is a very unique home by the water.

A pretty B&B in the country

I love the setting for this pretty home

A farm in the little village
of Breadalbane PEI.

The Trout River Road

Once again we are back home.

Time to enjoy some hot cocoa
with whipped cream!

Hope you have a great weekend
and thanks for your visit.

Take care,

    Carolyn

Dearest Carolyn,
Some nice winter landscape photos!
But it looks rather cruel for seeing cows out in a snow covered meadow...
Those red barns stand out in the snow landscape.
Hot cocoa with whipped cream or coconut cream is an excellent idea after having been outdoors.
Hugs and stay cozy and warm.

Oh my, such beauty there with your snow and I love that there are so many farms. Those cows are sure making the best of it. Lovely photos and no place like home when you returned!

Thank you for these lovely photos. The contrast of bright colour with pure white snow makes such pretty pictures. The more subdued home amongst bare trees is charming as well. Keep warm this weekend. It has been very hot here in Melbourne this past week. However, we have had some wonderful rain yesterday afternoon and overnight and the garden is looking fresh and happy this morning.
Happy days.

Hi Carolyn,
I think I will make some hot cocoa this weekend. The whipped cream sold me on the idea. Yum. We are having another dry winter in Northern California. We need the rain, but the daffodils think it's spring. I am busy this winter learning how to knit socks and crocheting an afghan for the living room sofa.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful island with me.
Fondly,
Betty

Hello Carolyn,

Thank you to share your winter walk with us. I agree, the red barns made a beautiful constrast in the snowy countryside that is fairy. I love that and the architecture of your houses in PEI.
Bon weekend ! stay warm and keep safe.

Oh that red barn down the country lane is so picturesque with all the white snow. I love it! And the lighthouse home is really a pleasure to see.... boy lots of steps to the bedroom at the top! or whatever room is way up there. I bet the views are unbelievable. Glad you were able to get out for a drive.. it's nice to get out of the house for awhile, but I'm always glad to be back home! Hope it doesn't snow too much! Marilyn
