My Red and White Transferware

Hello everyone,

I am finally getting around to
sharing my red and white
transferware collection
as promised a few weeks
ago.

I know some of you have seen bits
and pieces over the years.

As, you can see I have a mix of
old and new transferware.

The above teapot is very old
and comes from Japan.

I have been collecting it
for several years now,
often one piece at a time.

The big platter came from
an antique shop in Old
Quebec.
It is a Vista by Mason.

This pretty  covered vegetable bowl
was a gift from a friend.

Some of you have asked where I
store it all and I have them on
display in two glass door
cupboards and  some
on the walls.

I love this square platter also
a Vista by Mason.

This small soup tureen sits on the
wall display in the first photo.

A peek inside.

This corner cabinet is also
full of china but a mix of
lovely treasures.

An Old British Castles Tea.

I have several transferware
teapots both big and small.

This pattern is called
Florance and I have
several cups and
saucers that I lucked
into at a thrift store.

I wanted to share this photo
again as it shows the two
cupboards full of my
red and white transferware.
Don't worry, my tree is gone
now.

I like finding little ways to
display my china around
the kitchen so I can enjoy
it everyday!

I hope you are doing well.

It is hard to believe that we
are a year into our pandemic.

I didn't think a year ago that we would
be still dealing with it, but at least
there is hope now.

We have been so fortunate on our
little Island but we are also very
careful to wear masks  sanitize and
keep our distance .

Take good care,

Carolyn

Dear Carolyn,
I have always admired your collection of red transferware and your kitchen dish display is absolutely beautiful. Also, the french inspired chair and the placemats are perfect on the white table. Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful collection today.

Dear Carolyn, none of us thought we'd be here a whole year later, we must all continue to mask up and continue to wash! Your beautiful collection and home are just the bright and inspiration we need to come through the winter and pandemic. Thank you for giving so much to all of us in need of loveliness!

Wow, just amazing! Not only your incredible collection of transferware, but that you have such a beautiful space in which to display it! Just gorgeous. It's perfect too that the walls of your dining room are pale green, to provide a contrast to the red and white china. The room is perfect in every way. I love the fire place especially.

Hi Carolyn. Your transfer ware is lovely, but I ADORE the chairs in the first picture! Are they wicker or iron? Thank you, as always, for your beautiful posts.

I have just recently started a small collection of red transferware. I am searching for a tea cup caddy like your one that holds 4 cups and the saucers. Do you have any ideas where I might find one. I am coming up empty handed. Thank you in advance.

Hi Lisa,
The chairs are mainly iron but there is wicker on the seat and some on the backs as well. I bought them at Homesense several years ago.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments and your visit as well.

Take care,
Carolyn

Thrift shops are the BEST places for finding treasures! I love your transferware. I have a few pieces that I have gathered here and there too.
And COVID is getting to tiring isnt it? We are under stay at home orders in my part of the world but I hope that we are turning a corner soon! So miss visiting with friends and family.
