Hello everyone,
We are finally getting some sunny summer days
here so it is lovely cottage and beach weather.
I have shared some photos of my daughter's
cute little summer cottage named EvenTide
but I am back with a few more.
Before they bought the cottage it was all brown and very dark inside.
It only had one big window and a few very small ones that were too
high to see out . It made such a difference to put in several
new bigger windows and paint everything white.
The cottage has an amazing view and is right by the beach.
I love the aqua and white color scheme that
my daughter choose.
A beach bag that matches the woven rug
some pretty pillows and a soft throw make a pretty combo.
It is definitely a coastal/beach theme.
For any Island gardeners or tourists interested in touring our garden we plane to have our annual "Open Garden" on Sunday afternoon July 13th between 2 and 4 p.m.
Hope to see you there!
Carolyn
What a lovely cottage. I like her colours aqua and white. I wish I was there to tour your garden. Maybe another yr. I've been gardening a lot these past weeks. Too hot and too many mosquitoes and flies now here in Gaspé, I had to stop. Have a nice Summer. Thelma
ReplyDeleteWhat a delight! So bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteEventide is adorable and your daughter certainly has your decorating gene! I love the aqua and white theme, as I seem to have gravitated to it in the past few years. I'm on Cape Cod, not coastal but close enough! Thank you for sharing your pictures and wish I could visit for your open house. I'll get back to your PEI someday, just love it there!
ReplyDeleteEventide Cottages is the perfect look for a coastal retreat! Love blue and white, and even love more I think, the aqua and whites! How calming it is and I can just about hear the waves washing to the shore! Your daughter has it fixed up just right.... she must get her decorating sense from her mom! And good luck on your garden tour. I would love to your your gardens! but too far to drive from Oregon! xoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Wish I was coming to PEI sooner and could tour your garden. My daughter and I are traveling through in August-- she is looking at Canadian Universities and I am looking to move to PEI. I want to renovate an old century house and barn (with gardens)! Your blog has been such an great inspiration for me. Let me know if I could tempt you to open your garden again... I can pay in David Austin rose bushes or transferware or even cold hard cash! Either way, I am eternally grateful for your lovely blog. Thanks for sharing! Barbara in California
