Summer Time Tea

Hello everyone,

Once again it has been awhile since I
posted here but  I am enjoying these
beautiful sunny summer days we  are
having here.
What better way to enjoy a day at the cottage
than to have a good friend for tea.

We had tea on the deck where it
is  out of the summer sun but
catches the sea breeze and you
can hear the waves lapping on
the shore.

We had some delicious scones with
homemade jam.

Iced tea and lemon merinque pie
was a refreshing treat.

We whiled away most of the day
chatting and relaxing with our
summer time tea and scones etc.

We are still working  on our Ocean Song Cottage~
as we added the new window over the kitchen sink
this spring and shingled the outside of  it. It has been
hot the past few weeks so it is more conducive to just
enjoying the beach or sipping iced tea on the deck.

I hope you are enjoying a relaxing Sunday afternoon too!

                                                                                     Thanks for visiting,
                                                                                                 Carolyn

I always enjoy your posts. Relaxing by the sea is a great idea. We are in Nothern California enduring the smoke and ash of a vast forest fire. The temps are triple digits combined with the poor air quality I would love to visit the sea today. Hopefully, with prayer and great firefighters, the fire will be contained soon. Thank you for adding joy to my life with your beautiful posts and inspiration.
Joyously,
Betty

Dear Carolyn:
Ocean Song Cottage is surely coming along the capable hands of yourself and Hubby. What a lovely spot on the island. Summer goes so quickly so we must enjoy!

Carolyn, What a lovely tea for two you and your friend enjoyed on your beautiful deck -- I'm so happy you took a moment to share it with us. Glad you're enjoying a break - and that lemon meringue! Best, -Beth

What a wonderful way to while away the afternoon with a friend! I could use some sea and water today too... was 102 here today.. not the highest it's been but warm enough to not want to be outside that much! A table set for two by the sea, with the waves lapping.. oh that sounds so Heavenly. And those scones and pie don't look so bad either! Marilyn (in HOT central Oregon).
