Hello everyone,
We got more snow here overnight
again this morning so it is a winter
wonderland.
I didn't get around to decorating
the Boathouse yet for this year's
Winter/Christmas but I enjoyed
another look at these so I am
hoping you will too.
I love this old iron bed that
I bought at the 70 mile yard
sale about 4 years ago for $15.
The door in the corner was $5.
from the same sale.
The vintage skates on the end
of the bed I painted blue and
glued fur trim onto.
A cozy winter white tea.
The stockings were hung!
Fresh greens and furry throws
and pillows.
The Boathouse this year is already
surrounded by a winter wonderland.
photo was taken a couple of weeks ago
the pond has a skim of ice now. Hope to
be able to skate on it in January.
In winter I enjoy a walk around the
pond and Boathouse and through the
woods.
I was thinking we had no worries about
not having a white Christmas but then I
heard rain is forecast for Sunday so you
never know.
I hope your Christmas preparations are
coming along nicely and you are enjoying
the season.
Thank you for your visits and thank you
to all who leave nice comments for me.
Carolyn

These photos are so pretty and I love the forest behind the boat house. The evergreens there are wonderful. Your property is wonderful. Your snow is lovely and I shall miss it here in Missouri. So far - none except a tiny bit one day that melted before it landed.
What a beautiful white decorated boathouse I love it! The touch of blue and the trim you made on the skates WOW.
I wish to wake up and have your plate with a cup of... with biscuit aso.
What nice to read your family story on my blog and you're having a thread to my city.
Have a nice day,
groetjes van Marijke
How gorgeous! What an amazing setting for your wonderful arrangements.
Carolyn, your boathouse is a perfect illustration of "less is more." Your decorations are just the right amount, and show how simply the season of Christmas can be decorated and still be festive. What a peaceful retreat it must be, or a lovely guesthouse!
Snow is magical, isn't it? A sparkling blanket of white enhances your little boat house so well. Do you spend time there in Winter? It is 14 degrees here (in Pa) and I am trying to imagine how much power would be required to keep my little outbuilding warm! You have given me so many ideas. I don't have a pond but I do live in the middle of a forest. Have a lovely day.
SOme of my favorites of yours! Love all the white of course. And so beautifully styled. Your landscape is dreamy! I can't even imagine looking out onto all of that.
Those pictures are to pretty for any words I could say about the lake house
Merry Christmas
Your winterwhite pictures are just gorgeous! Skating on that pond must be such fun, I remember the photos of your grandchildren on the pond a few years ago, that was so nice.
Cozy and calm. What a delightful place to rest and relax. I heard about the bump up in temperatures on Sunday after this bitter cold of the next 2 days. A rollercoaster ride of temps. Enjoy the weekend.
Pure magic! Like a dream! Thank you for sharing the beauty of your world, as always. Merry Christmas, dear Carolyn!
meraviglioso!!!!! buon natale Carolyn e un grande abbraccio ! Lory
