Hello everyone,
On a beautiful late spring day ( a couple of days ago)
when the old apple tree was in full bloom I thought
it would be the perfect time and place for afternoon tea.
There is a lovely fragrance from the apple blossoms and
the tree is all a hum with the buzzing of hundreds of
busy bees doing their work.
A little filtered shade makes it
a pleasant place to enjoy tea.
The lupins are blooming now
so I picked a small bouquet.
I love this old tree that was probably
planted when our farm house was built
100 years ago. Our children loved to
climb in it and now our grandchildren.
Soft and delicate china.
I painted this old table a soft green
a few years ago,
Blossom Time teacups and a new
peony from the garden.
Homemade biscuits with rhubarb
preserves from our rhubarb patch.
It was such a delightful day to enjoy
afternoon tea under the apple blossoms.

All is beautiful!
This is so astoundingly beautiful, I think Heaven must look like this!
Thank you for this lovely post!
Your apple blossom tea is beautiful. I love the soft greens and pinks in the flowers and china. Lovely! I think we've had enough rain her in NB for a month. I'm missing the sunshine and heat this week aren't you?
I just came inside from repotting some flowers. After dripping out there in our hot desert shade, I'm finding your lovely photos are sooooo refreshing.
Tea time under a blooming apple tree would be my all time favorite in the garden. Swoon! and that peony too! Beautiful!
What a lovely, old-fashioned scene you have set beneath the old apple tree! Your gardens, the beautiful Blossom Time china, the linens: everything is a picture of beauty. Thanks so much for sharing your tea party with us. -Beth
What a beautiful spot for tea! Whenever I see apple trees, it reminds me of the Anne of Green Gables movie where they're picking apples in the orchard. It looks like fun!
What a lovely spot. I would love to visit your garden someday.
I always enjoy your beautiful tea times! Late spring is such a special time in the garden. I love your soft greens and your pinks together. Beautiful china!

Dear Carolyn:
Thank you for participating for my 100th posting party for "Tea In The Garden". My eyes noticed the teapot immediately. Lovely as all the tea wares are. The little table is so sweet and everything looks so soft and fresh. I do hope your summer is long and wonderful on PEI. I am in for the heat but will learn to deal with it! I am loving retirement.
Beautiful, charming and perfect, as always, Carolyn! So lovely to stop by and hope you are very well.
