Sunday Garden Tour

             Hello everyone,

           Early this morning I took a little

                tour of the garden and captured some

                  shots of it as it all changes so quickly.

                                                              A colorful display of orange and
                                                              yellows.......bright and cheerful!

                                                                  In other parts of the garden it
                                                                  is more subdued.
                                                                  The Bridalwreath Spireas are in
                                                                  full bloom now.

          It started to rain before I could

             finish my tour but hopefully soon!

                                                       A Sunday garden bouquet.

                                                             We have almost finished weeding
                                                             and cleaning up all the beds in our
                                                             garden. A couple of days ago we started
                                                             painting the exterior of our home so we
                                                             have put in some long days and I can't wait to
                                                             finish it.

Spring Color in the Garden

            Hello everyone,

              I hope your week is going well. I

                 have been spending as much time as

                   possible out in the garden these lovely

spring days.

                                                               The garden is rapidly springing to
                                                               life now and everyday brings more color.

                                                                    Daffodils are the main show though
                                                                    as I have planted hundreds of bulbs
                                                                   and they have multiplied nicely.

                                                                      I love all the varieties.

       Pulsatilla vulgaris or pasque flower

                                                                  Tulips and daffodils

                                                                       muscari

   Fritillaria ~ Snake's Head

              I am looking forward to the lilacs

             blooming and they are covered in

              buds this year so it won't be long!

 

                                                      Just a quick look at what is blooming in the
                                                                garden now.
                                                                The trees are leafing out and the grass is lush
                                                                and green....such a pretty time of the year and
                                                                especially welcome after such a long winter!

Relaxing in the Boathouse

                        Now that the warmer weather is here one

                   of my favorite places to relax is in our

  little boathouse by our pond.

        

                                                                           It is the perfect place to curl up
                                                                           with a book and a cup of tea.

                                                                        It has a sailboat and summer theme.

                                                                             While you are here you can watch
                                                                             the ducks or geese float by.

Spring Blue And White Transferware Tea

                                                                        Hello everyone,

                                                     I hope you are enjoying these beautiful
                                                     spring days. I am happy to be able to pick
                                                     a lovely spring bouquet from the garden
                                                     once again.

                                                                 The blue and white transferware
                                                                  was a gift from my husband a few
                                                                  years ago.The little embroidered
                                                                  tea themed tablecloth was a thrift find.
           

                                                                     Organic coconut yogurt with
                                                                     strawberries is our treat today.

                                                           A spring bouquet.

                                                             It is wonderful to have the grass green
                                                             again after such a long winter. The trees
                                                             are leafing out and I notice that the lilacs
                                                             are loaded with buds this year......so many
                                                             good things to look forward too!

                                                             Today, I am joining Bernideen's Tea Time blog

Small Spring Pleasures

        Hello everyone,

                                               
                                                            We have had some beautiful sunny spring
                                                          days so the garden is popping as we speak!

                                                          I am enjoying working in the garden but
                                                         also, my little strolls around to see what
                                                         is growing or blooming.
                                                         The photo above is muscari with lutes in
                                                         the background.

                                                              I am always happy to see cheerful
                                                              daffodils in the garden again.

                                          Now, it is time for a Spring Tea.....

                                                                         A fresh raisin scone is always a
                                                                         treat with a cup of tea.

                                                  Wishing all my Canadian friends a happy
                                                           Victoria Day......it is supposed to be
                                                          another beautiful sunny day here.

                                                         My apologies for not posting much
                                                        lately but I have been busy trying to
                                                        get the garden whipped into shape but
                                                        soon I will inundate you loads of
                                                        garden pics!
