Winter White

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We enjoyed
several family get togethers over the past week and
                                                            even a bit of downtime.
We had a warm green Christmas this year and
still no sign of snow....quite a change from last year.

I am still enjoying our Christmas decorations and plan to leave it
up until after New Years Day.

Warm winter whites ~ the paper wreath was made by
                                                   a friend of my daughter's.
                                                       Last years Christmas vignette.
A garden theme in the sunroom.
I am looking forward to studying some photography tutorials
in the quieter time in January. What hobbies do you enjoy in
Christmas in our kitchen/ dining room
                                                           this year.

I am joining Lavender Cottage for
                                                            Mosaic Monday today.

Thank you for your visit and for
all the good wishes for our family this

Love all the white Carolyn. Need to have white indoors with the green outside. Lol It's been a weird green holiday here too, however after last year's brutality I'm not complaining.

As a hobbyist I'm a lover of scrapbooking. I really need to work on improving my photography and using my camera more manually. Is there somewhere specific you look for camera tutorials...or do you do more of just a youtube thing? I love how you take photos so would love to know where you find your inspiration.

Thanks and God bless for a wonderful New Year!!

Hi Carrie B,
I love snow but I have to admit last year was a bit over the top so it is hard to complain about not having any yet.....I am sure it will arrive soon.
To answer your question, I have a pin
board called photography tips that I plan to go to their site and study up on the tips and then practice, practice!
Check it out here if you would like too
Enjoy your scrapbooking too and all the best for the New Year!

Lovely as ever at Aiken House Carolyn and with such a large family, Christmas must be a pleasant yet hectic time of year.
I'm always trying to improve my photography as well so I'll have a look at your pin board.
We're heading to Florida for the month of February again and happy that the price of gas is down.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday and best wishes for 2015!

Your winter white is very peaceful, Carolyn. Your tree is lovely! Sounds like you enjoyed a nice family Christmas. For the first time ever, I took my tree down before New Years. But I still have some Christmas touches here and there throughout my home. Did you know at Christmas last year we had 77 cm of snow on the ground? Hubby and I welcomed the green holiday this year and if we had no snow in January, we would be happy about that too. I am sure if Hubby was retired we wouldn't mind the winter quite so much. Last year's winter weather will suffice for a while, I think. Wishing you and your loved ones a Very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Love your winter white Carolyn, I'm so glad you and your family had a lovely Christmas. Best wishes for 2015. I love to knit socks in the winter. They are very popular with friends and family. Lovely lacey ones, bright ones and striped ones. Hugs Shirley N.Z.

Your winter whites are so beautiful, Carolyn! A very warm, creamy color which I love. It looks very cozy at your house. : ) I should actually get more involved with my camera over the winter months and learn some things. I'll bet youtube has lots of tips and techniques to make me a better photographer. You've inspired me to check it out.

Happy New Year!

I love winter whites too. My children will be home this week so all decorations are still up. Some of the clutter is going down. It's time. Enjoy the rest of the Christmas year.

I love the white color scheme--Just gorgeous, especially the christmas tree. I also am drawn to the breakfast (tea) in bed picture. This time of year it is good to curl up with a good book and tea! I'm also going to try to read up or study some photography.

Gorgeous and so happy I to have found your blog! Happy New Year to you! I wanted to reach out to each of you, and say thank you for giving me such a beautiful friendship across many miles. It has been a difficult month for me. If I sit to use the desktop, within a minute, or two the nerve compression pain begins. If I lie down, and prop up my laptop, which is very slow to run, as I am doing now, I have pain relief. Thus said, I am going to copy and paste this message to you wonderful people who encourage me to keep moving forward in this amazing blog world, otherwise, I would not be able to greet each of you at this time. I cannot tell you enough, what having you as friends has done for me...just wonderful blessings! Hugs from afar~ Mary
