Vintage Books ~ Christmas



                                                                       Hello everyone,

                                       I had lots of plans for today but somehow they
                                      didn't materialize.So,the only thing pretty that
                                      I got done today was to do a couple of little
                                      vintage book displays with a touch of Christmas.

                                        However,I did get to go to a Christmas concert
                                      for a couple of our grandchildren this afternoon ~
                                      so cute to see the little ones singing their hearts out,
                                      so the day was not a total loss!
                                                   I love how these books are perfectly aged.



                                                       The little skates seemed like a good match
                                                       for this Hans Brinker book.



                                     It is a very dark mild rainy day here so
                                                not the best for indoor photography but
                                                I managed to get enough natural light
                                                by the bay window.

    Carolyn, I love old books too. I had never thought to decorate with them. Gonna pull them out now. Thanks for the idea.

    These are sweet vignettes with the books. We had freezing rain here today and now it's raining. Quite miserable.

    The teeny ice skates add a lovely touch. I have the story, too, and I love it. I must remember to display it during the holidays. Love the Christmas tag, too. EnJOY your day.

    I'm like you Carolyn...I like to "look for a little pretty in each day!" I love what you did to decorate the old books. I will look for some of mine and see if I can do something similar! You always inspire me!

    The Hans Brinker book is absolutely perfect. I love the little skates! Both book bundles are very sweet. I love using books in my displays. This year I have used them to give height to some of my glitter houses.
