The Rest of the Story

Today, I am back with the rest of
                                                          the story.......some more photos of
                                                         our Christmas Cottage.
The table is made from my husband's
                                                         grandmother's old Singer sewing
                                                         machine.
                                                                     Shooting into the mirror.

                                                                  The corner cupboard......did I
                                                                  mention before that my husband
made this for me so I could display
                                                                 my dishes.
I bought several of these lace covered balls at
                                                               a yardsale.
This doll was a gift several years
ago ~ love the antique lace.
I covered the chairs with vintage chenille
                                                                     bedspreads.
Some real greenery adds a pop of color.

Love this mirror with scrolled trim.

.           Well, that just about covers it all
I have been decorating in the house too,
of course but haven't had time to photograph it yet.

                                                                           Thank you for visiting,

                                                                                                  Carolyn

Lovely, love the lace covered balls. I am anxious to see your house decorated. You are fortunate to have a husband to help.

Magical Carolyn. I don't suppose it has the ability for someone to stay in there during winter?

It looks so pretty in the cottage. I can't wait to see your house. You certainly are busy with decorating! Are you in the path of this nor'easter tonight? Snow or rain? We're in for a lot of snow. Have a cozy night.

Dear Carolyn,
The Gardener's Cottage is so beautiful and seems to capture all that is wondrous about this time of the year! Love the vintage white theme as it carries the beauty of snow indoors. Is the cottage insulated to protect against the cold temperatures outside? Would be delightful to spend time there if it could be kept warm against the winter chill!

Such sweetness here here in this room. No dirty boots allowed I am sure. Lovely! The boat house also looks incredible. I love it all!

What is it about winter whites that are just so beautiful!?! You'd think an absence of color would be blah or get tired of it, but I could look at a room like this all day. And the pops of color that are there just jump out so perfectly.

So gorgeous!!
