Last Garden Tour of August

                                                                          Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying the weekend. It is already time
to welcome September but before we do I am touring
the end of August garden one last time this year.
After coming home from Basinhead beach last
evening I did a little tour around the garden and had to
go back in for my camera to capture the beauty of the
                                           phlox hydrangea etc.

We do have a lot of varieties of phlox in the
garden and they have done well this year.

Phlox and hydrangeas are the main
show in our garden right now.

                                                          The beds at the road.

                                                        Phlox,Jackmani clematis and yellow
                                                       monkshood flopped over them.
                                                        Kyushu hydrangea is a beauty!

                                                                   A balcony view

The new arbor is blending in nicely
                                                           with Virginia creeper and clematis.

Hope you enjoyed touring with me.

What do you have blooming in
                                                                 your late summer garden?

                                                                        Thank you for visiting,

So beautiful! I have a very small garden myself, but my sweet peas and pansies and alyssum do well all year long.

You have a beautiful, colorful garden all summer. I always enjoy looking no matter what season.

So lovely, Carolyn. Your beautiful garden shows no signs of fading. We're in an apartment for the time being, so our garden is a simple hanging basket of purple ruffled petunias, red verbena and white lobelia. It's actually done quite well, though I do long for a real garden. Happy September! ~ Nancy @ A Joyful Cottage

Happy Labour Day, Carolyn! I came by earlier to see your post and was interrupted by my son's Skype call. Then lo, and behold, I'm back and you have a tea on. Will have to check that out as well. I'm like you in that I want to hold on to summertime as long as I can!
Your gardens are so lovely. I wish I had gotten my aunt and uncle over to see your beautiful gardens but unfortunately neither one of them is well these days so I don't expect them over again any time soon. I always gift them with your newest book though. Enjoy this first week of September.

Your gardens are amazing, Carolyn! I loved seeing them, as I do all gardening season. Such beauty! What a delight it would be to stroll through your gardens in person. Your virtual tour is the next best thing!
