Hello everyone,
On these hot sunny summer days our garden terrace
is a cool and peaceful place to enjoy lunch. There
are lilacs, peonies, roses etc. nearby for beauty and
fragrance and of course their is always the song of
the birds..
I set the table with my pretty new
china Harmony House from
Japan ~ a gift from a friend.
I used a dainty quilt with a matching shirt.
A big bouquet with peonies
lupins and lady's mantle graces
the table today.
A side view.
Lets skip the meal and get to the
sweet stuff! I love strawberry
shortcake with homemade biscuits
and real whipped cream.
The terrace has fairy lights for evening
enjoyment as well.....in case you really
want to linger.
If you would like to see one of my
favorite posts of the terrace check out
A Mid Summer Nights Dream .
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch
for Tablescape Thursday.
Hope you are enjoying
these beautiful summer days!
Carolyn

Every post you write is absolutely lovely! When you blogged about the Garden Gate tea room in Mt. Dora, Florida last April, I re-affirmed that I wanted to visit this tea room, and I did last month on June 24th - just four days before it permanently closed its doors for business. Sure glad I made it there in time! I wrote about the visit on my blog today relevanttealeaf.blogspot.com and mentioned your blog.
Blessings, Phyllis
What is the name of the pattern on these dishes? I love the band of soft pink with the flowers. I have Harmony House silverware that was my grandmother's.

Such pretty new china you have. I love it all in pink (even the dessert goes with it all!) Hope you enjoy a nice weekend.
Oh, how beautiful, Carolyn! I love the china. The bouquet is gorgeous too. I too love strawberry shortcake with home made biscuits but my hubby prefers the cake. So, we take turns. One time he'll get his cake and the next time, I get my biscuits. Love strawberry season! Have a lovely weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi
Your china is so beautiful and seeing such gorgeous peonies we don't have them in SCal just too hot and the pink napkins with just a touch of lace.I wish you were close I would invite myself over just to see your flowers.Susie
Such a lovely setting!!! Those dishes and peonies are so elegant and romantic!
Such elegance Carolyn!
A beautiful gazebo in the garden is the perfect spot for after tea!
It's a cold wintry day where I live and now I'm longing for those languid summer days in the garden again!
Wishing you a happy weekend in the sun.

What a little piece of heaven, Carolyn. It's just beautiful. I adore the china and your flowers, as usual, are utterly breathtaking. :)
