Easter Blessings

                                                                Easter Blessings
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Easter. We had our family for dinner so with a
big family it works good to have the little ones sitting at their own little tables
so I set this one up with a Peter Rabbit theme.
                                                          Love these plates!

Did you notice the vintage Easter tablecloth ~ perfect!
The little chairs got a fresh coat of paint as well as the dresser behind it,
                            just in time for Easter.

After dinner the little ones enjoyed an
Easter egg hunt indoors but ran off
some energy outdoors too.

                                                           Easter vignette.
I thought I should show you one of my projects this week ~ this dresser
is one we have had for many years but it was creamy white before.
I painted it Yarmouth Blue by Benjamin Moore and put a dark wax
from Annie Sloan on it. I think I need to play with the wax on it
a bit more but still I am pleased with it.
One of our tables set for Easter......not fancy but we
enjoyed our meal and time together. We usually have
a roast beef and ham dinner but decided on a turkey
dinner this year as everyone likes turkey best.

The library is used as a ding area when everyone comes
for a meal ~ we move out the small round table and put
this plain folding table in it's place and haul our extra
                                     chairs up from the basement.

Tulips and roses for these bouquets.

It was a lovely Easter but I must admit it is early to bed for me tonight!

There is one more day left to enter my giveaway for my Afternoon Tea
book just leave a comment here if you haven't already.

                                                                         Thank you for visiting,
                                                                                                  Carolyn

Lovely table settings! I love the Peter Rabbit theme for the children's table. Do you have your food set up buffet style? Or serve it family style? I'm always trying to figure out the better ways to manage larger groups for meals.

Only 4 of us at our house for Easter but it was wonderful ...all the finery came out and a feast was prepared and eaten
Thank you for such a lovely special Easter posting

Hi Kathy,
It was family style but when we do pot luck it is buffet style. It does get tricky to get it all served while it is still hot

Hello Carolyn,
the dishes for children with
Beatrix Potter design looks so nice.
I think it's fine, to have the
family for dinner at festive season.
I remember my childhood.
I'm one of nine brothers and sisters and it was always so nice.
Have a nice time, Olga

Dear Carolyn, beautiful as usual! I love the Peter Rabbit’s theme for the little ones, and the elegance of your tablescapes: the polka dot tablecloth is delicious! I also prepare two different tables: if you wont to see them and give me your opinion, it would be an honor for me. Greetings from an Italian follower
