Garden Tour Past & Present

                                                                     Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your last weekend of winter. It was a wintry one here but spring is
on the way! I am continuing on with our garden tour today with more of my favorite
               garden shots.

Foxglove, shaska daisies and blue campanula with nepata at the
                                 bottom.
I do love tucking statues into the various garden rooms.
Hydrangea in foreground on a misty morning.

A garden bench to sit and enjoy!
The pink fairy rose is one of my favorites.
And this is my favorite gardener!!!

Phlox ,sedum and beebalm on the right.
Constance Spry is another beautiful rose with a clematis in the
                                      background ~ good companions.
Our hillside garden in August with daylillies and coneflowers.
Now for a little reality check......our garden a few days ago,
after several cm. of snow and then freezing rain.

I couldn't leave you in the cold so I had to end with a pleasant
summer evening shot to dream on.

If you would like to enjoy beautiful garden photos you can
check out my gardens pinboard here.

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my
last post.   The clematis on the old birdhouse
is Ville de Lyon for those who asked.

Hope you have a good day!

                                                                                       Carolyn

Stunning! Your garden looks lovely covered in snow too but I am longing to see it in spring once again.

Beautiful! It amazes that such beauty finds its way year after year from such frigid ground. Your husband in his cap looks like Alec King from Avonlea might have found his way to your garden.

Just beautiful, Carolyn! Love seeing all the flowers as we don't have any here yet. You've got such great structures on your property that even with snow and ice it looks great!

Absolutely lovely! I'm an avid gardener as well and I'm counting the days! It's encouraging and makes me wander out in the garden even on a rainy here in the Pacific Northwest!

Love your snow scenes too. Thank you!

Your gardens and property are beautiful anytime of the year but I much prefer the non winter scenes with all the gorgeous colour. You must be getting anxious to get out there, although it's a lot of work throughout out the gardening season.

Just simply stunning! What a gift you have, so happy you want to share it with all of us.
I have a question - do you actually maintain all of this yourselves? What a tremendous amount of work & time must go into it. Kudos to you!

I can see why these would be your favorite shots, but any where in your garden seems to be beautiful, at least you photos show that. The snow scenes are beautiful too but I know you are quite ready for spring to arrive,

Hello Carolyn....The garden shots make my heart beat faster. I can't WAIT until your gardens bloom again.

Carolyn, do you know the woman in the statue who is holding the top of her dress? The reason I ask is that I recently bought a statue for the flower garden. She is similar in features to yours except mine, I think, is made from cement.

I looked on Google to try to find her in Greek or Roman mythology, but, alas could not find her.

I was just curious. I LOVE all your garden statuary. Susan

Always ready to take a stroll around your garden. Ours is still a bit of a bog from all the rain we've had and the grass has grown through the greenhouse floor!
I have a similar statue which I want to surround with lavender but the lavender doesn't seem to want to grow. xx

Good Morning Carolyn, I enjoyed the tour of the garden, especially with all the colourful the flowers. I don't want any more snow.

I have friends visiting P.E.I. this summer and was wondering if your garden is open to the public on certain days during the week.

Take care and enjoy your day.

Are those real candles in the chandelier or is it wired? It is so pretty in that outdoor setting.

It's been a long time since I first came across your blog, and every post after that first one is a continuation of being inspired by it.
So, hereby I must thank you.
Without even knowing it, unintentionally, you have re-awaken my love for my garden. You have made me pick up my trowel and a packet of seeds.

Have a wonderful day, dear.

Hi Shirlgirl,
The candles are real but the terrace is also wired and has fairy lights on the ceiling.

Thanks for visiting!

This is probably one of the most delightful gardens I’ve ever seen. Everything you see around is literally a pleasant sight. Kudos to the landscaper and keeper of this little haven. Thanks for giving us a virtual tour!
