Hello everyone,
Since I have done a few pastel tea times lately I thought I would share
a red and white theme for this Valentine's Day tea.
As many of you know I have been collecting red and white transferware
dishes for several years now and my collection slowly keeps growing. It
is a mix and match of several patterns. The tea cups are Vista by Mason.
The ginger cookies are also on a little Vista plate.
The beautiful red roses are so pretty in the transferware pitcher.
Maybe, you have noticed that the crochet curtains are also mix and
match. The ones you see here are in the middle window and are
actually a long pair of valences but I think they work well for now.
All the curtains are the same color(golden ecru) but a little different
pattern and all were bought at thrift shops over time. I think if I am
patient sooner or later I find just the right little treasure!
This beautiful covered veggie dish was a sweet gift from a friend. The
pitcher behind was also a gift from another friend a few years ago.
Both are treasures to me ~ the friends and the gifts!
Love the richness of these red roses ~ a symbol of love!
A simple tablescape set for some family visitors.
Hope you are enjoying your week ~ do you have any special plans
for Valentine's Day?
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday
and Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for Friends sharing tea.
Thank you for visiting!

Love your red transferware, Carolyn. For sure, there is nothing like red roses for exquisite beauty. Yours are delightful. Susan
What a lovely and peaceful spot to enjoy a cup or tea or coffee. Your transferware is beautiful. I am been using a lot of soft tones lately too. I just love pastel colors but reds are always warm and inviting too.
Have a great rest of the week.
Janet
Caroly I am newer to red transfer ware than yourself; however I lucked on a good buy of mixed pieces of Vista but unhappily no cup/saucers...still looking for them.
Love your new header and as usual a very pleasing post.
One very special favour I request from all the dear ladies in blogland...Please oh! Please give St. Valentine his title of Saint. He was a real person and a bishop in the Catholic Church as was St. Patrick and everyone on his feastday call him St. Patrick..not just Patrick...so please in future call him SAINT Valentine. Bless each and everyone of you and may you have a blessed St. Valentine's Day with your loved ones.
With joy,
Sylvia Faye
Absolutely gorgeous.

It's just perfect for St. Valentine's Day, Carolyn!

Your transferware is very pretty. Happy Valentine's Day.
Bonjour , j'aime surtout le Rose mais votre billet et superbe avec cette jolie Nappe . J'aime votre jolie Vaisselle
Bonne journée
Your tea setting is perfectly lovely. The pitcher with the roses is very 'eye catching'. Thank you for sharing it with us.
So pretty! I love all your dishes. You have an eye for beauty!!
Love your transferware. I collect the red as well. The covered dish and pitcher are beautiful, as are the roses. The petals look like velvet.
I love your collection of red transferware! I am a lover of red and have just recently started collecting it. I found a pretty large set of all plates, and two sizes of saucer of the Vista by Mason at a thrift for $20. I was thrilled, but hope to find some teacups to add to it. I actually love mixing patterns! Beautiful Valentines tea!
hugs,
Jann

Very, very pretty as always, Carolyn. I love that the curtains are mismatched. They compliment each other and are a little more interesting that way. You have created such a warm and beautiful home.
