Afternoon Tea in the Conservatory

                                                               Hello everyone,
The little conservatory on the back of the boathouse that my husband and son built
in the past year is a lovely place to enjoy a little quiet time and a cup of tea.
I have surrounded myself with some garden beauty while enjoying
my tea and taking some time to write in my journal.
Peeking in through the old french doors with the etched glass.
I have a collection of old postcards that my aunt had saved for many years.

As the time for tender annuals is almost past here I took some in to enjoy
                             in the conservatory.
Love having the plants soaking up the sun in here.
I am looking forward to more sunny afternoon teas surrounded by some of the garden beauty
                that I enjoy.

Guess,I haven't written since the 70 mile yard sale. We had beautiful weather and my friend and                   I covered a lot of territory in our 12 hour day but still didn't get to all the sales. We were both                       happy with our day and the new treasures we found. My biggest purchase was a flat bottomed                        boat for our pond but more on all that later.

                  Thank you for visiting,

Your conservatory is a sweet area in your boathouse. I like the turquoise table. It looks like a nice fall weekend ahead for enjoying the garden or the pond or even the beach. Enjoy!

I think that the thing that would be hard about that long of a sale would be where do you start? Which end of the middle and which way?

Hello from New Zealand! I found your blog through Pinterest and love looking through all your posts. I have a cousin who lives on PEI and I visited the island 20 odd years ago. You have a beautiful home and garden, thanks or sharing!

Olá Carolyn,

com certeza mais um cantinho especial. É muito lindo e aconchegante. Ficou ansiosa esperando suas postagens.

Bom final de semana.

That looks like a lovely place to have a cup of tea, Carolyn.

By the way, I have a question for you. Do you leave the mirror in the garden all through the winter?

Love your little angel among the plants!

Tell us what you bought at the big long yard sale, will ya? Susan

Your husband and son did a great job to build this heavenly conservatory and boathouse. A really lovely place to have tea on a sunny autumn afternoon, dreaming and writing about your garden and treasures found on the yard sale.

All the beautiful flowers in your garden take my breath away. I only have a postage stamp garden now which is going to have to be buxus and clipped hedges when we get started. Last weekend I put a diamond shaped wire up on the front of the house that looked a bit boring, its quite a large diamond, I plan to put an old Lion's head fountain in the middle and grow Star Jasmine around the diamond. I just hope it works.
