A Summer Lunch on the Porch

                                                             Hello everyone,
We are enjoying some beautiful sunny summer days here so we love to eat out on our screened                     porch. Today, I am using my very old beautiful Florentine  china. The roses from our garden are a mix of Golden Celebration and The Pilgrim.
It is a quiet peaceful place here on the porch.
Join me for a cup of tea.

The teapot was a gift from my husband and it matches the china set very well.

A glass of cold lemonade is refreshing on a summer day.
I love the lacy border and soft colors. My husbands grandmother had a set of china like this.

                                                             Love summer hats!

Enjoy your day!

I am joining Between Naps on the Porch today for Tablescape Thursday.

Beautiful table, Carolyn! Everything looks wonderful. I love the soft and romantic feel of the creams and whites. Those dishes are gorgeous! I like your Summer hat, too. I just bought one for my granddaughter recently thinking it would be the perfect tea party hat for her.

I love my screen porch, too, but it has either been too hot or too rainy this summer to use it much for dining. The view to your garden is so lovely - I would never leave. Your china is beautiful and you set the table so beautifully. Love this!

Gorgeous china and everything looks just beautiful. The lemonade is so refreshing looking. Can't wait for the Downton Abbey Tea--wish I could be there, but I'm miles away in Texas!

What kind of tea did you make? The orange slices have me intrigued. Would you mind sharing the recipe, please?

Carolyn,
Such a tranquil setting for a cup 'o tea on your lovely porch, dear one!
The china is exquisite!
Creamy ivory and the rose encased in the center is a pleasant surprise.
The roses from your Garden are so very elegant.
I could detect a hint of their sweet aroma.
Love the blending of hues from the two different varieties!
You husband did an excellent job of finding a complementary tea pot.
Thank you, also, for the cool sip of lemonade while I lingered a moment longer to take in the view beyond the porch.
Fondly,
Pat

Hey Carolyn! I visit your blog often to enjoy your gorgeous photos of some of my favourite things ... gardens, flowers, pretty china, teaparties ... and it's especially lovely to see your summer pics as it is winter here in Australia and I am such a summer gal. Love your table setting today ... I have two Florentine jugs that my bestest buddy gave me for my last birthday and they would blend right in with your pretties. We obviously share excellent taste! :0) Thanks for sharing. Bear Hugs! KRIS

Olá,

Que belo almoço de verão. As porcelanas são lindas. Chegamos de volta das férias na sexta-feira. Estivemos em Mount Dora e almoçamos no Garden Gate Tea Room. Adorei o local, a hospitalidade e a beleza.

Uma boa semana.
